Thanks a lot for the work done James, it's always great to hear/see your amp comparisons!

In general, the Greenback cab shows more of the different characters of the amps, where the mids get kinda squeezed out on the Recto cab. I only listened on the videos though, so the recordings might tell a different story.

Personally I don't like the stock G12Ms of nowadays so much. I have an old Marshall Cab with 70s Greenbacks in it and like that more than for example the H&K Triamp cab I used to own with modern G12Ms.

Damm, you sure get some KILLER tones out of those Recto's.

Thanks man, it has been a journey. Rectos used to always get the best of me.

That's awesome. Pretty shocking some of the differences.

Thanks for putting that together.

The ultimate tone is the Mesa oversize with the greenbacks! I have one set up like this and it's huge sounding! Great vid James. Thanks.....

What trannys in the ceriatone? 50 or 100 watts? PPIMV?

100 watt, just their stock one. That amp is amazing!

Awesome! Thanks for the clips

Haven't listened to the mic'd tracks yet but checked out your YouTube vids last night. I really love the Friedman and stock plexi through the Greenies and the Triple recto and Über sounded great. Surprisingly, I liked the rectos through the Avatar more than the recto cab.

I miss these videos from you James!

Great video James! Thanks for posting!

Man I'm glad you dug it. My assistant and I listened through the clips this morning. Man that ceriatone is unreal. The dude that sold it to me wanted to buy it back a few months ago but backed out. I am SOOOO glad i didn't sell it.

Man that Bogner is delicious sounding.

Yeah through the recto cab kills me.

Same setup I run, Rev2 Uberschall into 1 or 2 OS Recto V30 4x12 cabs. It's an amazing combination. There is such a full, growling, throaty tone and feel its almost hard to describe as anything other than perfect for rock, hard rock and metal. The fact that of all the amps James owns (or myself), that the Rev2 is our go to gigging amp speaks volumes of just how good the Rev2 is.

Anybody else notice how well the Uberschall goes from rhythm to leads? No adjustments needed to the EQ settings. That's something that has always amazed me about the Rev2 Uberschall, it takes away the need for a typical 3-channel amp (clean, rhythm, lead).

Rev2 Uberschall all the way!!

Thanks for the comparisons James. :2thumbsup:

Great vid!!! Personally, I dig the Rectos through the Avatar cab and the Bogner through the Boogie cab.

I absolutely love that amp. It was the amp that really got me into amps in the first place. There were a few guitarists in LA that had rev 2's years ago and their sound blew me away. It's the amp I'm using with my band. Rev 2>Mesa Traditional>Les Paul. Fukkin mean.

Coffee,Marlboro, the woman cutting the grass, and me lounging listening to these clips.
Great breakfast Jim,thanks for your labor of love

I spent some time this week at my buddies studio dialing in some of his guitar sounds and I downloaded the files and listened through in his room. Which is an absolutely gorgeous sounding control room. It was a trip to hear them outside of my place and also to see his first impression reaction to the different clips. He loved the uber/avatar track. Now when I first tracked it I hated it. I didn't like the feeling I got when playing it but listening in his room it sounded pretty cool. Man sound is such a weird thing.
