Anyone know what he is up to these days? is he even alive? any studio guys that know anything or have heard about him?

you dont even hear anything as much as a peep about him anymore. last i heard he lived on long island, NY?

edit:

link in the topic below to the 2007 interview with The Metal Show where he explains why he dropped out of music

I heard he just got burned out of the whole music seen and all the BS that goes with it. He's always been one of my favorates and I've been listening to a lot of Whaite Lion the past 6 months.

One of my faves back in the 80's!
Saw them live and he is a AWESOME PLAYER!!

He was on Eddie Trunk's show quite recently - maybe a year, year and a half ago. I can't find the link though...perhaps it's because I am half in the bag! ;)

You have to do a real good net search he did an Interview in 07-08 with one of those guys on The Metal Show..
It was supposed to be his first interview in 10-15 years...

There is an article version and Audio version of the NYC Radio interview with him and he explains everything, why he dropped out of the spotlight and music and all of that...

I love this ...

is that the metal show

reminds me of a mix of the mans show and headbangers ball lol

My son broke out some of my old White Lion cds the other day...I had forgotten just how good Vito was. Hopefully he rejoins the circus sometime soon.

He hurt his wrist, perhaps playing classical guitar in bed at an odd angle. That put a kink in his mechanical abilities.

One of my favorite players. Legato and string skipping freak. Plus he has a great feel for open ringing strings which is awesome.

I think I like Mane attraction a little better then Pride.
But both are kick ass.
Their first one........meh.

One of my favorite players. I can almost hack my way through a few of his songs. Awesome sense of melody. I never understood why he was always compared to Van Halen. I mean, other than the obvious use of tapping they are night and day players to me. Vito is much more melodic. His solos always sound like part of the song instead of a interjected part within the song. Just my .02. Unfortunately, I think Vito is done for good with music and guitar playing from what I've heard. Not expecting a come back from him. Would be awesome though.

I never really agreed with the Van Halen comparison either. Vito was very mapped out and intentional, where as Eddie was much more off the cuff and spontaneous.

I liked Vito better during the late 80's then Eddie.

Just listened to the whole thing. Great stuff!! Thank you so much for posting that interview!!

Vito was one of my fav players from the 80's. Awesome sense of melody. The "Wait" solo could be mav favorite solo of all-time

I used to use a ADA MP-1 for a couple of years and could dial in the Bratta tone pretty close using just that processor.
