Awezome report! Totally got that impression that he is super cool guy and that vid confirms that. Was a little surprised about the KK part...... i am not a huge priest fan but i do like alot of their stuff. I would have thought Tipton would have been more of a impression on Vito! From the Priest stuff i have heard, Tipton seems to be more melodic in his leads than KK but i could be wrong as i don't know their whole catalog

Sounds so similar it's ridiculous actually lol.

Obviously Eddie was a huge influence but nothing really wrong with that since countless guitarists wanted to be Eddie and to his credit, he got the closest out of everybody so props to him.
 
If I was always accused of being an Eddie clone I would never admit that he was an influence either . You want people to think your style is your own but as soon as he starts playing there's no disguising it because it's as obvious as obvious can possibly get .


He seems to be in a good spot now so I'm looking forward to see what he comes up with next .

At 3:23 Randy does what I’ve always called a rolling type lick . I don’t know if I’m describing a right if I’m not somebody please correct me lol . Vito does a lot of those type of licks. Ed did them also but I’ve always identified it more with Randy .

Sounds like a sequenced legato run that RR does naturally. Eddie did that all over his first album. They used to watch eachother on the strip so who had it first… Eddie or Randy ? We will never know.. as frank gambale says… “steal shit and use it for yourself”.

It’s going up the scale with hammer ons and 3 note per string hammer-ons . And then he also doubles the pattern . Vito did it alot I think too
