Voodoo Lab GCX Guitar Audio Switcher

Hi guys, I was looking for a Voodoo Lab GCX Guitar Audio Switcher. I'm using a Behringer FCB1010 as my foot controller. I heard that the Voodoo Lab GCX Guitar Audio Switcher works only with the GCX ground control!!!!!! Is that true or it's only a marketting issue! I'm asking me why sell them separately if it can only works together!

Do you have a few informations to share?

Not true, you can use practically any controller with it. Personally, I prefer the Rocktron Patchmate loop 8, Think of it as a GCX thats built better with better features and there is no price difference IIRC

The GCX works with anything that can send MIDI CC data, though it's designed to pair with the ground control. The FCB1010 will send CC data so you can use it.

I'm using my GCX with a Rocktron All Access. To control the GCX you need to send midi CC on and off commands on a specific MIDI channel (I think it's 16, but it's in the manual). CC 80 turns on and off loop one, CC 81 does loop two, up to CC 87 which does loop 8. Once I set up instant access switches on the All Access to control the GCX, creating presets was easy.

For anyone wondering, it's easy to get the GCX to power an All Access - just make a Midi Cable with 5 pins on one end and 7 pins on the other, making sure to connect the outer pins at either end to each other.

My rig is pretty simple, a G-major in the effect loop of the amp (Mesa Rectoverb) and a few pedals that I go direct from the guitar to the input of the amp. I change the chanel of the amp by using the G-major, in each preset I assign the chanel 1 or 2. With the GCX, will I be able to:

1- continue using presets of my Major plus select one pedal at the same time?
2- assign on my FCB1010 for exemple if i press the number 6 pedal on the FCB engage only a pedal ???
3- if I want to select my preset 12 on the major and the number 2 on the FCB engage only ex a chorus, what would happen?
