Should have one in a couple days. An SD-1 and a Bad Monkey in one box with a 3-band EQ. For $99 new. What’s the catch???

I’ll be sure to shootout against my Griffin Super Drive. Keeley Super Rodent, and my favorite SD-1’s.

UPDATE
Well I know the catch……,it sounds like shit. Super compressed and noisy/mushy next to my Keeley Super Rodent and Griffin Super Drive. Just like the Pinnacle I had.

The Bad Monkey (smooth) side isn’t bad, but there is a tenfold volume/gain increase when switching to SD-1 (punch) mode. As a clean boost, I had to back volume down to 11:00 to match Griffin when maxed……..but still sounded awful.

I didn’t buy this for the Bad Monkey side, so it’s going back. Tried messing with internal dips and running at 12v but still sounded super mushy. I’m done with Wampler.

It sounds 85% like the originals its cloning...par for Wampler clone pedals if you ask me. Very good value. Sounds great on both modes. Again, not spot on from OG's but you'll like it. I like mine.

Good to hear. Only Wampler I’ve tried was the Pinnacle Deluxe and didn’t like it at all. Too squishy and compressed…….granted I wasn’t using it like it was probably designed to be used…..which is into a clean amp.

Bump for update
Yep, something about Wampler doesn't ever work for me. I have tried several pedals and we just don't jive.

It is insanely difficult to match the open/non-compressed nature of Griffin Analog stuff.

I like my Keeley compressor+ a lot, it retains clarity where many others will not, so I am not shocked that translates somewhat to their other stuff.

I also enjoy running pedals into a super clean amp.

A lot of drive/of pedals do not hold up when left bare.

My favorite OD pedal right now has to be the Hatter's OD by Griffin Analog.

Yep, whether I like a particular wampler pedal is almost always directly correlated to how much I want it to sound like the original.

Because of that, I hate the tumnus, but love the nobels clone. etc etc

BW seems like a really cool dude, and actually cares about improving on the designs, which I can respect

I am in his wiring course (Have yet to really do anything with it) and think he has a killer ear. He is one of the best mainstream guys out there in general, I don't think many could argue against that.
