You just making shit up now Donald LOLThe first two chords of Rain Song are the same as Something by The Beatles.
Was a nod to George Harrision who'd become buddies with the band.

“The problem with you guys is you never do ballads,” Harrison once told John Bonham. This conversation filtered through to Jimmy Page, who regaled the tale to biographer Brad Tolinski. “I’ll give him a ballad,” Page vowed and set about crafting one of the most epic I’ll-show-you’s in music.
“I wrote ‘Rain Song’, which appears on Houses of the Holy,” Page continued, “In fact, you’ll notice I even quote ‘Something’ in the song’s first two chords.”
Been around since 59 never heard such , saw Zep 3 times.

That's so cool...between being a Beatles/Harrison fan as a young boy then a Zeppelin fan as a young teen and absolutely loving that song...awesome!True story.

Do not question D.B. when it comes to inane rock trivia.
It's a losing proposition.
I had to settle for The Firm...which I still enjoyed.
Yep, that was the highlight. And at the end of the day it was 4 awesome musicians in a live setting, good stuff.Maybe not Zep, but we still got to see Pagey bowing with a light saber while in a laser pyramid!

It was in the winter/ cold I remember that, first of the year? I was 16/17?Think you mean 1975 - Zep took 1974 off from the road.
The 1973 Tampa show is the one where they broke The Beatles Shea Stadium concert record.
So cool you were part of that.

Couldn't agree more. I would have been 14 at the time of that cancelled Boston show.IMO there is nothing that touched Zep in the history of rock, sorta jaded me.
