NJ had the most draconian weed laws in the northeast.
get busted with a joint?
1-5,000 dollar fine plus a possible 30 days in the clink - up to the judge.
driving privileges revoked for a year, mandatory drug classes etc.
Now police have to actually catch real criminals.
Just watch violent crime, rape, robbery stats go way down and the courts become unclogged with BS weed cases.
Now if the dotard Cuomo and the deep south could only follow suit.........
JAH RASTAFARI!
BABYLON HAS FALLEN

You should see what a slaughterhouse the roads in Colorado. Cali, Oregon , Washington state, Massachusetts etc have become
please

Kudos to NJ.

Australia's been dragging its feet for decades despite repeated bill propositions... :dunno:

Pot being illegal is, and has been one of the most absolutely absurd laws in the history of laws. Just asinine
If you go down the rabbit hole of why its illegal, you quickly find out it was originally made illegal in El Paso Texas in 1915.

It had nothing to do with it being "dangerous". It was a racist law made to keep those job stealing Mexicans south of the boarder because they were the only ones to smoke up.

Good for NJ. I love living here in Mi. I can legally have a perpetual grow room in my basement (clone rig, veg tent, flower tent, drying space), all LED powered, so it doesn't get hot, or send my bills too high. its a fun hobby, and its nice to be under the lights and taking care of plants in the 6 months of winter we have here. Whatever money i spend doing it, i make up by having my buddies "donate" money for "overages", which they're more than happy to do, since our dispensaries are kind of a rip off. We've been legal since 2008. weed related accidents aren't shit compared to drunks, violent people with guns, road rage, "Detroit" style driving (very aggressive, and fast), etc. Its harmless. Go after the human and opiate sellers now.

I dunno, I heard several different stories. Probably the bullshit Reefer Madness film had a lot to do with it.

Indeed it did, Brother CentristNutz.

At least, that's the accepted historical take on it.

I read it in a book called I think called Black Market. It's about how porn got started and the Comstock laws and how the industry fought back to become legal. Weed and how it became illegal, and how its market while illegal is widely ignored and eventually will be accepted, book was written 20 years ago. Finely it covered migrant farm workers, most of whom are illegals, and how the american agriculture industry for the most part could not exist with out them

Just wait. South Dakota legalized it in a vote a while back then our bitch Governor prompted her chronies to draw up lawsuits claiming it's unconstitutional to legalize it so it got dropped. If there's anything she can't stand it's listening to the voters that are stupid enough to have voted her into office. I'd expect some see-sawing in the other states attempting to legalize for a few years.

As I write this post, I am sitting in the drive through lane of a legal weed dispensary in Florida. It is about 60 degrees outside, the car windows are down, I am listening to Rhoads, and will be driving away within 5 minutes with a half ounce of Strawberry Haze, a quarter ounce of Bubba Kush, and some THC pain patches (which do wonders for golfers elbow).

Life is good and legal weed is grand!
