Well good to see the guitar industry isn't raising prices.

I have plenty of guitars (around 30?) and basses (4), not to mention keyboards and modular synths.

I planned to buy another guitar (EBMM Majesty) this year once in stock, but that was before Korg brought back the Kronos, now the Kronos 3. Kronos 3 won't be available until May or June, but I may wait a few months.

Yea 99.9% of people buying new Gibsons just buy because it’s a lifestyle brand, that’s my viewpoint anyway

After decades since owning a new Gibson, I took a chance on a Gibson '61 SG Standard in white...zero issues, QC was very good. I wanted the '63 Custom SG Les Paul, but at nearly $7K that wasn't going to happen because these aren't my main guitars of interest (EBMM Kaizen, Majesty, Ibanez PS-10) ....turns out Epi has the inspired by Gibson Custom version, for $1499, which has three Gibson pickups...again zero issues.

I have enough Gibson now, and enough Fender (Fender MIM Strat, and MIM Jaguar)...just to have "classics"

ARE TOO A CORKSNIFFER!!!

enjoy it man, can't take the money with ya when you die, just play the hell out of it
It's just one of the Les Paul Jr DCs so it wasn't too expensive. I've never had a single pickup guitar before so I like the challenge. I will say what Gibson passes as medium jumbo frets now is a joke. 6100 SS coming soon.

dude i once owned an original 1969 Les Paul Custom...lol learned the hard way they dont call em fretless wonders for nothing...that sucker was gone in a year!

if a guitar puts a smile on your face, play the shit out of it i say!

I own four gibson currently. Two Midtown Customs and two Les Paul Customs. In the past I have also owned several explorers. I have to say my experience with Gibsons over the years has been very positive. Perhaps, I have just been lucky.

Gibson is easily my favorite brand and my home for feel and tone but haven’t bought a new one since 1997/8 but even then it was because I got a screaming deal working at a store. They’ve made models I like since then but they’re just not financially reasonable to me. Always open to used. As I’ve gotten older I’m a lot more open to non-Gibson guitars, especially imports as they just make financial sense and the quality is very good.
Does it actually work to avoid tariff’s if Chinese companies ship guitars from outside China? Doesn’t mean stores won’t jack the price whether the tariff was paid or not though.
Maybe Fender Mexico can ship from Guatemala 😉

Yeah I happened upon a 79 Les Paul Artisan 2 pickup for a really good price about 12 years ago. It was a fantastic guitar except for those frets. I thought about a refret but since they are somewhat rare I decided to sell it to someone that really wants the guitar original. Made a quick 1K on it though.

My favorite brand as well. Lumps and all. But once prices started going north of 2K for models such as Standards, it became unreasonable.
