Well Merry Christmas! My Band Broke Up

So I sent a group text to my band last Thursday with a funny Christmas Story movie GIF and I get a text from our bass player "You do know that I have left the band correct? I just wanted to make sure you knew." And then I get a text from my other guitarist later that day "At this point, the bass player and singer have decided to drop out of the band. As they've gotten older, their family and personal commitments require a sensible shift in priorities. That would make it difficult for them as well as other band members. So, I think it's done unless or until you or you and I decide to or not no do something or make something out of what's left." Then shortly after that, the drummer says that he won't actually have the time it takes to be in a band anymore. 😟
 
Think of it as a blessing. The unmotivated bums you were working with cleared themselves out of your way to find better, more serious players.
 
Yea I texted my other guitarist and told him thanks for letting me know. It's going to take some time for this to sink in as the band was together over 10 years

Kinda sucks the way you found out too, as if you didn't matter enough to be in-the-loop. :thumbsdown:

In 45 years of them i can say "bands are overated".
And most today i have no idea what they're playing.
