What’s it worth? Marshall Slash AFD

I love the tone of this amp! Im not a metal/ thrash type player so it fits what I'm looking for in an amp. I wouldn't pay current bubble prices for anything right now.... I would wait for the bottom, it will come.

$1800 is what I saw these at new, locally, and they were a hard sell at that.
Just because something is limited and somewhat rare, doesn't make them sound any better.
It's funny watching the prices go astronomical on gear we used to snub back in the day.
Not that anyone really snubbed the AFD, but prices in general on what what we used to consider crap are sky high.

Judging from the comments about the amp sounding thin and scratchy, I'd say they must have nailed Slash's tone

Not just Reverb. Ebay, Craigslist, forums.....every used site is WAY up. Before COVID it was normalcy. Now...who knows if or when it will correct itself.

Prices everywhere right now are completely ridiculous.

In this market, as limited as they were I’d say 3K would be a steal. Far more limited than the 96 Slash 2555, simply because they made the 2555 from 87-90 and there are thousands of them.
Now, personally I’m not a fan of that amp as much as other Marshall’s. I found the KK Marshall a better sounding amp.
But that’s me. The AFD is on the thin side.

I'm a huge Slash fan but IMHO, the #34 mode on this amp is super thin and raspy.
