What Amps do you Regret Selling?

It’s a 1998 silver face owned by smashing pumpkins Billy Corgan. One of the first silver faces ever made and blue face spec inside.
Lucky. I was going to have it cancelled for black face. 😂. But really, now I want a blacked out VH4.

I sold my Soldano Hot Rod 100 Plus before giving it a fair shake. I gave up on it simply because the loop didn't work how I wanted it to. It pains me that they now sell for double what I sold mine for.

I also regret selling my JCM900 4500. People slag these amps unfairly. It was my main amp for years, and I played lots of shows with it. I guess I could buy another one any time, but I really wish I hadn't sold it.

I sold my 5150 block letter for no other reason than I wasn't really using it. Dumb! I should've kept that one.

Finally, I kinda wish I still owned my Randall RGT100.

I want one of the stealth JVM205h heads really bad! So cool looking.
I've been looking for the blacked out version of the JVM410H...My understanding is that thew were only offered in Europe, so the US power conversion issue comes into play. But yes...They are very cool looking for sure.

Two come to mind, 67 drip edge fender Bassman, and I really didn’t get much for it either. Great amp, took pedals like a champ, reliable, sounded good, a bit hard to control at home, but that was about it.

Laney vh100r, ran it through a bad cab, really didn’t give it enough of a chance, was always on the bright side for me, but part of that was the cab.

There have been a few....my first 2006 Splawn QR. Even the 2nd 2006 wasn't quite the same. Also....my Carvin Legacy....was a super fun amp to solo/leads on and cleans. Lastly...my first EVH 2x12 combo first edition. Had mojo that amp. I currently own the EVH 2x12 2nd edition and although wonderful, isn't quite as warm. People that say amps are amps, get another one....pfft. All are somehow different...don't know how, but they are.

belei it or not I am actually a bit sad that I sold off a Randall Nuno Bettencourt sig head. After quickly realizing it wasn’t my cup of tea I sold and then heard a tape a friend did using it and realized it was a crazy good studio/recording device. Oh well. Still have an original Marsha and an 83’ Marshall 50w that Dave did his magic mod w/ master on. He even took that one back and re-did some stuff when I said it was acting odd. Awesome guy, amazing amp. sigh….

oh, and hello all! I’m jeff and am back after many years away.

Only amp I haven't been able to replace or I haven't found something else I like just as much or better was an original 2555 jubilee my parents gave me for a birthday present. I blew the amp up and it had to have a new OT and it sounded horrible after that, but I wish I had it for sentimental reasons.

Man, a lot of Mark IV regret here. Sold mine for a Mark IIC+, didn’t miss the IV after that.

I do regret selling the IIC+. Also my OG 5150 combo. Miss those two

It is not an amp but I regret selling a beautiful Soldano 4x12 with purple tolex and black grill with 4 Vintage 30 made in uk

Every mark IV recording I’ve heard next to the mark VII makes the mark IV sound like the lesser amp. I have a feeling mark VIIs are going to really take off - it’s a IIC++ in sheeps clothing

I’m mainly a bass player so:

My pre-Fender SWR 750 and Megaliath 8x10

When the mark v was released, it was the same thing compared to the iv, it time will tell how good the vii is. For 5e price they are asking for a new vii, I see no need to get one and sell my mark iv at this point.
