What cabs is everyone using with their Friedman BE Deluxe?

Hi everyone,

I've enjoyed being part of the community so far. I really like the Friedman BE Deluxe amp as it covers a lot of ground for the genres I play. I have a couple other amps that cover super clean and super heavy. I'm just curious what cabinets people are using with their BE deluxe (50 or 100) and what speaker combos you're using. I understand the Friedman 4x12 comes with the v30 / greenback combo and the 2x12 with v30s. I already have a 2x12 with v30s so i'd prefer to get a cabinet outside of this combination. I'd be curious to hear what people are using and what range of music you play and why that particular combo. Lastly, is it possible to get custom speaker options from Friedman?

Looking forward to hearing what everyone has to say,

GB’s and V30’s in 2-4x12’s for me. I also have a 2x12 with CB’s but prefer the others

BE Cab with the greens/v30s is great if you’re looking at newer production cabs. I use it with my Hermansson Marshall, plenty of lows and mids, bit of a high end roll of which can be compensated with the amp

Thank you for this! Good to hear. I'm guessing that is the 4x12 you have? Also, what types of music are you playing with the Hermansson just so I can get a sense.

I prefer English Greenbacks, personally. But, it's really a taste thing. I like the smoother, less honky mids. Still plenty, just not overbearing like V30's tend to be, for me, anyways. I tried the mix years ago with V30's, and have had several 2x12's with V30's. I just dig the warmth of the Greenbacks. The only V30-loaded 4x12 I've ever cared for was the old Mesa Stiletto "Traditional" 4x12. Killer cabinet.

Mostly modern metal. A bit of progressive hard rock as well, I am not an old-school guy if that's what you're into

Nope. I like a wide range but more skewed towards the heavier stuff in general (80's hard rock/thrash and into Death, Pantera, Lamb of God, Mastodon). Good to hear that speaker combo works for you for the more modern stuff.
