What do you consider your biggest musical accomplishment?

You still have to beat the final boss; Chugg Norris...

That's a good one.

I know we all love to talk up our children, but everything seems natural to her. I have to be very focused and methodical and am honestly not great at improv outside of keys and synth because I overthink and am a bit ocd. She's just like "here, let me show you what 300bpm (mild exaggeration) looks like" totally nonchalantly :ROFLMAO:😒

Hmm...

Sitting down with a label discussing a development deal. It was a new label headed by two Nashville musical heavyweights, we had done a CD, they liked it and the label was supposed to be more of an "artists" friendly label subsidized by one of the big guys plus they wanted some local rock artists to put on their label.

However they did not like our singer. They liked his writing, but vocally no. Funny thing is the singer was an incredible bass player. He wanted to be a front man, my band at the time just lost our singer, we get this guy and things take off. The kicker, he's probably the single most talented individual I have ever played with and his bass skills were off the chart sick.

So there's the dilemma. Replace him? Replace the current bass player with him? What do you? So while as a musical career accomplishment that was probably the biggest thing it was also one of the worst. We stuck to our guns, they passed. A year later the singer would go back to his true calling and ended up in a signed band that tour the east coast for the next 10 years.

From a fun standpoint my biggest accomplishment was with the last band I was in, touring over a 2 year period. 160 shows, 35k miles playing music with the coolest bunch of guys I've ever stepped onstage with. Was a nice way for me to end my live playing days. Musically it was my least favorite music I had played but the vibe, it allowed me to walk away satisfied and have more fun memories than all my other bands combined.

I don't know if it was an accomplishment, but the most fun I ever had playing guitar was flying from Long Island to San Francisco to play a Jimi Hendrix 50th B/Day Celebration, in Nov, 1992.
I got to be a Rock Star for ONE DAY in my life. Took a Limo over the Golden Gate Bridge to San Rafael, to a club named New Georges.
I met and played w/ Rosa Lee Brooks, who did a single w/ Jimi in 1965.
Met and played w/ Juma Sultan, who played w/ Jimi's short-lived Woodstock lineup.
As a Jimi fan and a guitarist, it was a great night I never forgot.

Not much yet, maybe partly by being younger. For me it’s probably the 4 semi-finals I got to for classical guitar competitions. Hopefully I can get to the finals this time for the one in 2 weeks. I have a masters and post-masters degree in it, but that’s more academics. It’s hard to make the finals since it’s usually the same 4 players that are the best in the country

For electric guitar my gear was used in my friend’s album and if any of his music ever becomes successful I’d count that. As a gearhead if I ever try all the gear I wanted to in every single category that would be a huge accomplishment for me and I’m pretty close. I think in 2-3 years now it could be possible. I’m very thorough with that

My greatest accomplishment was I didn't quit playing and gigging like everyone else I knew and the result was I was able to reach some playing and performing goals. I'm in it for the adventure and meeting new people cause if it weren't for that I would've wanted to be a mountain man cause I like country living. Hoping the best is just ahead as I have a couple big (for me) music things I'm working on for this year.

Being able to cheer myself up from, and distract myself from depression and trauma by creating something pleasing to my own senses whenever i feel the need.
Not everyone has that to turn to.

other than that, my old band opened for in flames once, and they watched us play from the side. not a big deal, but it was to me at the time.
