Re body wood type: This is a Musikraft "Franky" Northern Ash body and it's a heavy sucker. I have a Musikraft Kramer-Style Banana Headstock neck that has been on it since I first built it but it didn't look right. So I pulled this neck (Warmoth w/EVH carve) off of another guitar and am much happier with it. I also lightly "aged" a new Original Floyd Rose with FU Big Block and converted it to the old-style screw in bar. Old Shaller tuners and various electrical parts...

I don't think it's too difficult but I've taken apart just about every guitar I've ever owned If you buy the neck and body from the same company, they usually need very minimal tweaking. And when you order it, specify how you want it set up (with a floyd, hard tail, nut prepped etc.). The hardest part for me was the paint. Not because it's difficult; I'm just really impatient and I don't like waiting days for the paint to cure. Even though I ended up basically trashing the paint, I wanted to apply it correctly so when I did relic it, it would look authentic.

Anyway, I found my camera and took a few more shots. I also put the original neck back on. The strat neck has a compound radius fretboard and I can't stand that shit!! This board has a very comfy 10" radius...
