That Dean rules.

It's one of my favs, for sure. Despite it's body shape, it's actually super comfy in any position and isn't as heavy as it looks. I have the Rusty Cooley variant as well and it's so strange how different it is due to the body shape when all else is the same. It's neutral point is at the nut, so the entirety of the frets are swept steeply in the same direction and made for one of the hardest to get used to, but was worth the effort.

Wow, Lisa! That's a killer bunch right there!

Thank you! ❤️ Honestly need to start downsizing :ROFLMAO: We really didn't have much of a traditional Christmas and when we came home from vacation I had two Charvels I hadn't spent time with yet, two other guitars, one of which my husband surprised me with, and a bass NGD. Not sure if there is an GAS anonymous I can join . Also, a really awesome Sunn T preamp pedal from Wayne. Yeesh. I really need to step back for a moment. Worst case scenario is more giveaways to come, I guess...

That Yamaha catches my eye every time I see a pic. Love that finish and those top contours are killer. I love how it's dished behind around the edge back behind the trem. Is the heel heavily contoured? Thing is beautiful Johnny.

BTW I took the 490r/Lollar dB loaded Viper 1000 on it's maiden flight to my local blues jam and plugged into a Deluxe or some SF Fender. Was gonna tweak some knobs on the amp but then decided heck with it, I'll just see how it sounds with someone else's settings. Sounded really good and the Lollar was smoking.

If you look closely at the cutaways, you'll see how thick that maple top is. I love that.
I want a sharp percussive attack and bright tone in my guitars, and this one really delivers!
THICK maple top, mahogany body, bolt on maple neck w/ebony board RM-Pro locking trem, and I love the SSH pickup configuration. I knew it would be clear as a bell. Yes, wood affects tone. I figured it would be a deeee-luxe tone mo-sheen. Happily, I was right.
Those RM-Pro Floyd type trems are high quality. I'll put it up against any Floyd type I've played. They really enhance the tone. No mud. There's a real pleasing warmth to my guitar, but the clarity is always there. Also, the nut is height adjustable!!
That guitar, bro... I'll tell ya, tone for DAYS.

I remember when you got the Charvels. Please let us know what you think after you've got some time with them.

Electrics:

1. Tom Anderson Drop Top Classic 2023

This is the best guitar I own. Ironically it's not my main because it actually is "too good" and makes me feel a bit guilty to play at times.

2. Rangka Custom S 2023

Arguably my main. This is the last guitar I commissioned my friends at Rangka Guitars after a nearly decade-long relationship. I have no plans to make further orders right now because honestly this thing is so good I'm A) keeping it, B) trying out and selling other brands' offerings (ie. older Andersons, Suhrs) just to try out other flavors

3. (Modded) Navigator Superstrat from circa 1982

My beater guitar, essentially. Recently refinished in deep metallic blue like some Japanese supercars. Currently has a set of Duncan JBJ and 59J (not pictured)

It's modded to shit. I think only the tuners are original. The electronics are replaced because the old ones were scratchy, Schaller Floyd II changed to a 1984 OFR with a D-Tuna, the original frets were worn AND the fretboard uneven, etc. It's my heaviest superstrat, being that it's 2 or 3pc Mahogany with a solid big brass block (the Rangka and the TA are swamp ash)

But it has mojo. I remember @scottosan saying (not sure here, or on Facebook, or on another forum) that his old 70s Aria had mojo and resonated in a way some of his newer, "nicer" guitars didn't, and yeah this little strat... same deal. Tracking with this guitar is just right. No jumpy spikes, no uneven frequencies that need to be cut out, no lack in frequencies that I like to hear in a guitar track.

4. Navigator N-LP 480S CTM 2013

I like strats, superstrats and LPs. Among LPs, Goldtops are my favorite, followed by solid blacks, then tobacco burst, then clownbursts.

My main guitar for tracking rhythm and "sweet" sounding low-gain leads. This guitar is more or less stock

5. Edwards E-LPC92 2006

Truth be told, I only got this one because "hey, black LPC with an ebony board for under 1k that's actually well made" was a very good pitch.

Currently has custom humbuckers in it. (8.6k bridge, A4. 7.4k neck A2). I would say this is my best sounding guitar for cleans (that custom neck is magical by itself, and even more magical when in the middle position)

It's also fairly light. I've had a more expensive Edwards (the Jimmy Page tribute model thing) which was way too light and felt like a toy, and I had other MIJ singlecuts that were too heavy (mainly Tokais), but this one is just right. Heavier than my Navigator, but lighter than a non-swiss-cheese, non custom shop Gibby or Epiphone.

I have another guitar coming, but that's for an NGD post ETA next month.

Acoustics:

1. Sigma Acoustic.

Forgot the model and all, but I got this for fairly cheap just to record an acoustic part and honestly it's... pretty solid. Very nice guitar.

Wow, that Drop top classic has the nicest top I think I have ever actually seen! You say its so good you almost feel guilty playing it, are they worth a lot of money by this builder or is it just where it is so nice you wouldn't want to risk damaging it?

Even your beater guitar is lovely, and its funny you mention Aria, a friend told me there was two electric guitars in a skip and they had covered them so I could go to get them. One was a cheap Aria, and once I gave it a setup, it's actually a great guitar to play. It is hardly worth anything but just feels and sounds really nice you know?

Out of those just from pictures my favourite is the blue on the left and the purple on the bottom right photo, they all look killer guitars though!
My two faves right now. I have one of the fx cult km-7’s coming (some day).
The h/07 has polymaths, and the vm-7 has juggernauts. The aristides might be the most resonate guitar ive ever owned. Still not sure how i feel about that with no wood in sight lol.
Lovely, plus liking the headstockless design! You mention no wood in sight, what are they made from? I definitely wouldn't feel bad about no wood if as you say it is the most resonant guitar you have ever owned, plus plugged in what it sounds like what matters most, wether it be a top quality tonewood or some other material that also gets the job done, possibly even better!

Too many to list and I returned home this past weekend to five NGDs :ROFLMAO:
My recent main players over the last year are probably...

I love the Dean, also what is the furthest left guitar as I really like that one too, the black one?

This one's my fave. First guitar I've had with sst frets, and they feel awesome

Loving that one, from the photo it looks like it goes from a lightish brown colour then into an almost cherry red at the edges where the burst darkens?
Also what do you prefer about stainless steel frets? I am still to try a guitar with them so have no experience, I really am surprised how long my MH1000's frets have lasted as it was before they made the switch to stainless steel and they are still level with no dings!

Here's a few when they were being re-strung/oiled.
Made in USA

Wow some amazing guitars, wait isn't the KH20 limited to just 41 guitars? If so how did you get one, and I would also love the iron cross as well. Do you have any photos?

I just pulled the trigger on this $199 special on Amazon.View attachment 380036View attachment 380039
I really like the colour, and for $199 I am hoping that fit and finish will be acceptable that after a setup you get a decent playing guitar. I've heard stories of people buying a cheaper guitar and actually ending up with a real gem that they love so hope this is the case.

I have a strat, a tele and a Jackson
Nice, do you know what models like MIM, american special etc, also the Jackson? Also do you have any pictures as I and am sure everybody else would love to see them :)

, are they worth a lot of money by this builder or is it just where it is so nice you wouldn't want to risk damaging it?

Yeah both lol

It's also the smoothest playing and the smoothest sounding. I can't sound bad on the guitar, which is bad when I'm practicing.

I love the Dean, also what is the furthest left guitar as I really like that one too, the black one?

TY! ❤️ That one is a 2002 (pre FMIC) Fujigen built Jackson Soloist SLSMG (Super Light Soloist Metal Guitar, IIRC). They are 7/8 body, neckthrough, archtop, stringthrough. Believe the modern equivalent is called like a SLAT6 (Soloist Light Archtop) or something along those lines. Also have a SLAT8FF/X (pictured middle below) which is the 8 string multiscale variant that despite being made by Cort in Indonesia; I can attest is built within margin of error on par, imo. Have had them both since new, and not going anywhere.

Mostly a LP player here. I have an LP Custom, a CS Standard, some others. Outside of that there’s a ‘90s PRS Custom 22 and a Fender Strat floating around here for variety.

The picture isn't 100% accurate, it's a bit more pink in the middle, but yep cherry red at the edges!
I find they're just incredibly smooth for bending. I think I grip the neck a bit too hard when I do bends, so that helps. How long have yours lasted?

Nice, I had a cheaper Dean LP copy and I must admit, I liked the scale length difference, things just felt a bit smoother to me if that makes sense? I've stuck with the ESP as that was my most expensive guitar, I gave the Dean and an amp to one of my ex's boys as he wanted to learn to play. Obviously when we split I took my stuff back but left the guitar and amp for him.

Yeah the kh-20 is limited of 41, really cool guitar, they sometimes popup on reverb.
Heres some pics

View attachment 380333View attachment 380336View attachment 380339View attachment 380342View attachment 380345
Wow, I love both of those guitars! I would be scared buying something so rare on reverb due to the fakes that pop up- I even checked my LTD MH1000 wasn't fake as I got it for under £450 including shipping from Canada to the UK brand new, when the price here was near £1000. I actually contacted ESP with photos of the guitar plus the serial number, and they confirmed it was genuine which was a huge relief.
I gather you did a lot of research before buying it?
I also love the wear on the pickup covers of the iron cross, I am not usually into relic guitars but that actually looks really cool.

Lovely guitars there! I notice the strat only has a volume pot, does this mean the tone is essentially always at 10, where most people leave it anyway?

The picture isn't 100% accurate, it's a bit more pink in the middle, but yep cherry red at the edges!
I find they're just incredibly smooth for bending. I think I grip the neck a bit too hard when I do bends, so that helps. How long have yours lasted?
Nice, it looks like a really nice burst finish!
I see, I will have to try out SS frets sometime and see what I think. You are not alone there, I find I grip the neck quite hard myself, and where my main guitar has a thinner neck you really feel when you are going too hard in your hand.

Well, I have had the guitar since 2010 when I bought it new, so they are coming up to 15 years old! Granted I have had quite a few health issues during this time which has limited my playing, but it is still a well played guitar, I am just amazed that standard frets have lasted this long.
One of my good family friends has a lovely MIA Strat, I think from around the same time, and the amount of flat spots and divots on his frets is insane, I don't even know how he can play the guitar with it that way.
I keep telling him to get a refret as I think it is well past the point of a recrown/level, but he is happy playing it the way it is, and it still sounds good somehow.
