What happened to Fuel?

While I realize this discussion about FUEL is a really OLD post, but I just came across it and found there was so much MISINFORMATION listed here about FUEL that I had to log on to this site & attempt to set the record straight since a few of these remarks come from Assclowns who don't have a clue of what they are talking about. I have known FUEL way before that was a FUEL....they were, "Real To Reel" & "Small The Joy" before FUEL....I am a superfan & had the privilege on many occasions to hangout, travel and get to know the guys in the CLASSIC VERSION of FUEL: Brett, Carl, Kevin & Jeff....please pay attention-here goes:

First off, if Brett wanted more input in the songwriting, how do you stop someone from writing songs? Jerk the guitar out of their hand?? Do you think the label gives a damn who writes the songs?? The label wants hits! Period. They could care less who writes the songs. As I have heard, Brett would submit one song per record. Bell would submit 40. If you submit one song and the other guy submits 40, naturally the other guy’s songs are gonna make up most of the record. And Bell had historically written all their big songs from day one, lyrics and music, and written all the songs that have made their career. Second, when Scallions left, he said he wanted a solo career and had other issues. Bell, and all the other members begged him not to quit. It’s career suicide for all of us Bell said. He quit anyway (BTW this is the same EXACT scenario when Gene/Paul tried to talk Peter Criss from quitting...and you see the clusterfuck that turned out to be for Peter!) Furthermore, as I’ve heard it, Bell shared his songwriting publishing money with the band. Hundreds of thousands of dollars each for all the members. And as the sole songwriter of those songs, he didn’t even have to give it to any of them. Yeah, someone that gives hundreds of thousands of dollars to his bandmates that he doesn’t have to give them sounds like a real douche bag, huh?? Wow, I wish I had “douche bag” friends like that. Then when Brett wanted the band he quit back, Bell gave it to him, and allowed himself to be kicked out of his own band along with the songs he wrote. Yeah, Brett was a great vocalist at one time, and the combination of Bell’s songwriting and Brett’s voice worked great. No doubt. However, the Carl Bell I’ve met is one of the nicest and most humble guys you would ever want to meet. Maybe you met him on a particularly busy day. Anyway, I don’t know where you guys on this site have gotten your info, but you might wanna check your source. You’ve been misinformed. Or, the opinion you have formed is not based on the the real facts if they were facts at all. Huge Fuel fan, huge truth fan.

One thing for sure was Carl and Brett together made the band hit. How did Brett wind up with the name as he is the only member left in the original lineup, or did he and Carl work something out? I see Carl put out an LP as "Tennessee Fuel"

I used to catch them at a local venue in Allentown PA for $5 quite a bit right before they signed with Sony for the Sunburn album. They were playing those songs at that point. Many fun nights and then they broke into mainstream...pretty cool.
The drummer a Kevin was a dick. I saw them a few years later in Rochester NY and went up to them after the show. Talked to Kevin about the venue I had been following them in PA and asked if they were playing in that area again as I was in college and bounced back and forth. He got all arrogant and said something like "wtf, I'm not going back to Allentown. That would be liking taking a shit."
Ok man, I get it. Too cool for the fans that helped get you guys going. Meanwhile Rochester isn't much bigger and he was the first one gone from the band.
