I suck at guitar and have no clue about recording. However, many of you here are very proficient. I think it would be awesome if some of y’all got together and created some songs. So much is digital and files can be shared via email and imported into your daws or whatever its called. A Rigtalk forum album. It may be eclectic in styles but this place is functionally dysfunctional anyway🤣🤣. Just a random thought I had but i would love to hear collaborations and original stuff from you all!

Ratt- Lay It Down
Some of the solo of Stairway to Heaven
Most of the "Badlands" album note for note
Runnin "or slow pace trottin'" with the Devil
Lick It Up "with outrageous metal distortion"

All the technology and computer stuff goes way over my old brain as well
Me too. I just bought some recording equipment and it's all a foreign language to me as far as using it. I'm trying to get my friend over my house soon so he can show me how to do all this shit! He said he knows his stuff so I think it would be helpful watching and learning from him. Once I get the hang of recording, I may throw up a few clips but I'm a little intimidated because some of you guys / gals on here are killer players compared to me.

Yea if i bought equipment and had someone come show me and explain it would help. Watching youtube just isnt the same as having someone explaining in person.

I just went and looked for this and it’s 12 years old. A bunch of us on the 11 rack forum back then recorded something together. It was pretty cool.
