What is your go to cab/speakers??

I’ve got an old beer stained open back Bogner OS 2x12 that has an v30 and a lead 80 in it. That cab sounds good with everything.

Marshall '73 1960B 55hz and '74 1960A 75hz, both with original creambacks. I've had so many cabs over the years, different speakers and combos, but when I got these two about 8 years ago the search ended. They just do everything well, any style of music I throw at them. I'd have to describe them as woody/organic/smooth with great mids that sit in a mix really well. I've tried to go back to V30s since and hated them.

I’ve got four 2x12 cabs with v30’s, so I’d say that’s my go to…

One I got from Splawn over 15 years ago, because the Eminence speakers I loved in my 4x12 for live use weren’t my favorite for recording.

A Mesa vertical that was a package deal with my mark V, which I kept because it’s the perfect size for my mark iii to sit on top of.

Two orange 2x12’s I bought locally used, because I decided to switch to that setup playing live for a while.

I have 4 cabs . Marshall BV , Bogner Uberkab , Diezel FL , and Randall Warhead
Randall Warhead wins for me

I have a few in comparison using a speaker switch. My preference is the Celestion G12H-100.

special 112 that’s not publicly released yet that actually has more low end than any 412 I’ve played and a unique hi-fi, detailed sound.
Curious how big is this cab ?? LxWxH ?
I'm also curious about the details of this cab. I'm guessing some sort of ported cab, and possibly with batting and/or other standing-wave anti-measures. I'd be surprised if it's small, but I'm no acoustics guru. Can you point to which maker we should be watching?

If I could reduce cab space I would.
About half the width of my 412’s, maybe less, a bit shorter, but more depth in that dimension

Looks like some sort of ports. No foam, but they said it is supposed to stop a standing-wave and have it so that the high, low and mid frequencies hit you at the same time rather than the highs hitting you first. Whether that’s true or not I don’t know, but it sounds great and unique. Very punchy, clear, detailed and hi-fi. With my other cabs also you can hear and feel the vibrations of the sides and back, like maybe there’s some sound leakage there, while this one seems to have none of that, giving this denser quality to the notes just all being pushed forward. It’s shorter and less wide, but deeper in dimensions. The maker is Smith Audio (his name is John Smith lol). I hope his stuff can actually make it into production. I’m glad to at least have mine

Badass!

My favorite cab has gotta be my Avatar vintage 4x12, it's loaded with some 2021 V30's and some well broken in 2007 V30's, all Chinese speakers but they sound excellent. I think I like that cab more than my Mesa OS.

My fav is a recent 1960AV. It always sounds good to me.

I have a greenback 1960AC and an Oversized Recto 4x12 that I use for specific things. The greenbacks sound good for a rounder, less thrash more rock tone. The Recto cab is more laidback and relaxed than the 1960AV.

Mainly use my EVH 412 loaded with the stock Celestion EVH labeled greenbacks. Just picked up a used Marshall 1960A loaded with G12-65s that sounds really good as well.

Sound City 4x12 with the stock Fane "Sound City Power" speakers

Electro-Harmonix 4x12 with the stock custom Eminence speakers
