What rig did you gig this weekend?

My Maiden tribute, Flight 666 was at House of Blues here in Vegas on Saturday. Ran the VHT/RedSeven/Stomp XL rig. Used a house 1960A cab. I’m the Dave Murray (blonde wig).

Stomp was for effects only. Guitar was my signature Valkenburg EVL-1 model.

Not sure if this vid will play for everyone…

Man!! Having been at HOB in Vegas and hearing how good that venue sounds, I’m jealous! And I don’t covet stuff BUT that is bad ass. Stage is awesome too. There is nothing like a large enough place to attract a bunch of true metal heads. Everyone is interested in one thing: MUSIC not iPhones and stupid shit. Great tune and great playing. My deadly sin today is envy. Congrats.

Ongoing residency at Madison Square Bedroom and occasionally (if allowed) Madison Square Living Room but I pull the Kemper for that because I hate hauling the axe to MSLR 😅

Looks like you had a great show with a terrific crowd and boy was the playing on spot or what! :2thumbsup:

Yeah this venue is awesome. The staff and crew are great and super hospitable, the green rooms always have wicked good stocked refrigerators and all and yeah the sound is just “aces”!

I LOVE this preamp! I got it for a killer price too. These early 2/90/2’s with the power and standby in the middle are also REALLY close to a 2150 build. This rig fucks pretty hard. Was my first time gigging it but certainly will be a staple.

Yeah was a killer crowd which was nice. You can never tell on a 4 tribute band night when the “headliner” if people will hang in or clear out, especially on an eclectic lineup. It was tributes to (in this order) Godsmack, Sevendust, Judas Priest and Maiden. It all went well and people were great for all the bands which was awesome. Fun crowd. We definitely do what we can to put on a proper Maiden show as best we’re able.

Cheers man! Honestly, and I say this humbly… our fucking bassist and drummer are monsters! lol. They’re sooooo good! The bassist is like a Harris-machine and he’s the sweetest guy to boot. I constantly feel blessed to jam with those dudes.
 
Many of us work weekdays & weekends thats why we cant gig. Havta make a living.
Who has weekends off lol ?

I’ve seen them before but not met them. I’ll have to make sure to introduce myself if/when I catch them again. Believe it or not, I’m oddly very socially awkward…

"Freelance contract work" meaning "work from home ?
Im not missing anything here been in this area 50 years. Most folks get old & die ya know.
I played Icarus & trooper 40 yrs ago LOL.
Not to mention this area had 11 inches of snow the past week. No mail, no trash service many couped up.

I’m 50 and ok… also, sounds like you have nights free for rehearsal and gigs? Then head to work!
