What speakers are you all using these days?

V30 and creamback 75 combo is pretty bitchin if you get new speakers.

G12-80 Rola is super bitchin for gain or cleans.

Early 80s g12-65 are totally bitchin for clean and gain.

Of course, early greenbacks are glorious and costly.

Johan Segeborn does a demo and uses, I believe, some sort of mojotone version of a greenback and it sounds good.

someone recently did a clip with a jensen tornado i was very impressed with, i might snag one of them for something different than celestions

I have been liking the Weber Legacy series with the 80oz ceramic magnet option -
2 of these 75Hz mixed with 2 55Hz in a 4x12

G12V’s, g12m reissues, and scumbacks in all my cabs now.

I find myself interested in creambacks and redbacks recently.

If you just want to know what I'm using I'm using Splawn Small Blocks and then Mesa's V30s in a Mesa Trad Slant cab.

If you want recommendations - I would post more info about your circumstances. :)

Two different types of v30’s. Hellatones in the avatar and the Marshall mode 4 version.
I had a Mode 4 280 slant with those; I also had a 1983 800 cab with 65s. That Mode 4 cab sounded damn close to my 65s. Really underrated cab, and they are built like the TV cabs that sell for 1500.
I'd say that cab is probably one of if not the best sleeper cabs out there.

those mode 4 heads could hold their own too, i remember a few guys using them around here and always being impressed how good they sounded.

I played in a Maiden Tribute band for a few shows back 10 yrs or so...the other player used one. It sounded a bit more Mesa than Marshall but still damn good. Great metal tone for sure.
