What was the last used Larry to hit the classifieds?

I hate to start a Larry thread because that's just asking for trouble :LOL:

...but am wondering what the last Larry to trade hands was? I know a few folks on here have 'em but only recall a scammer last year on TGP trying to "sell one". Not sure i've ever actually seen someone who really has one trying to sell it.

Seriously would like to know whats a fair price for 'em? Just looking to build consensus based on the knowledge on this board. Thank you kindly!

P.S.: can we please avoid quoting price in hairy caterpillars, cigarettes, or rear panels...? pretty please...:hys:
 
I got my 939 2 months ago, but it was sheer luck lmao- also there was a Marshall modded one for sale last month- but I didn’t see a single other one besides 1 wrecky in the last 2 years

I want one, and if one of you folks want to sell me/ trade me yours, let me know. Doubt I’ll ever have one… or hell even play one. I’m not dealing with that wait and the bull shit.

At this point just wondering if there’s any semi accurate clones or amps that sound similar to one out there.

If I’m reading the thread title correctly, and I think I am even though you missed two tiny words, you mean L*rry dumped his now 20 year old girlfriend (since she’s now an old hag) and she’s listed again in the escort classifieds?
 
A member here sold one just about a month ago and it was an open sale and out of the blue; gone like that- IMO it was a very legit price for members here. The other one came out of Germany about an hour away from where Larry lives. The eBay amp that @BesaMoogie posted over a year ago was gone as soon as I contacted my intermediary in Austria who brokered the deal for me.
Prices on these will only go up and no I’m not willing to sell mine. If someone was having a fire sale, the value is probably 3-4k for modded Marshall, 5k for the 939. I’d guess 7-10k for those looking to cash in on people who have to have one at all cost. As I have said in the past on these amps; regardless of what you think about Larry, these amps are only going up because they are very uncommon and absolutely fantastic to play. Maybe not Jose status YET but I suspect they will be way higher in the future. I have never heard of anyone not wanting one of these. I only hear of people not willing to wait for one and I would make a bet that if a 939 or metal machine popped up on RT out of the blue from a legit member for 4-5k, 90% of RT members would look like Black Friday rush to get the precious. I personally just happened to be in the right place at the right time for mine and I know enough folks to have made the deal. “I could be wrong, but I’m not, no I’m not”

I agree with a lot of this, but thinking anything Larry comes as known as a Jose circuit is just not going to happen. Nobody knows who Larry is outside of the guitar forum community. Maybe amp builders (which many probably have no idea who he is… the ones that may are probably forum members already) and hardcore iced earth fans. The reality is the amps are just so rare because of how infrequently amps are delivered that nobody knows what a Larry is.
