It is what it is. It is not a "tone Snob" amp...it could be to some but not to others and thats cool! It was not intended to be anything like the MOD series of amps.

I am sure that bruce would not be able to stand there satisfied and
say this amp sounds good if the fact was it didn't.
He has too many years, reputation and the gift of a set of ears/electronic skill
that selling that would go against his grain.
Try playing guitar at a lesser skill level and stay that way for a day or just 10 minutes
and watch how immediately frustrated one gets. Better yet set your amp to a tone that sucks
and see how unhappy you get and how long you can stay there.
Bruce is no different than us. He understands what guitarist are looking for, as well as our audiences.
