Thought this would be fun. Not the greatest scream-er (someone who repeatedly does it top notch) but the single greatest throat tearing screech ever put to record!

I have given this some thought. My vote is John Lennon, "I want you she's so heavy." Talk about primal scream therapy!

Anybody else?

;) :D

Gotta be a close tie between Jim Morrison and David Lee Roth.

Ronnie James Dio with an honorable mention to Sebastian Bach

Rogery Daltrey on "Wont get fooled Again"

He belts out the best scream EVER in the 2nd part of that song.

Now, I am an 80's rock guy through and through, but I always smile when
I hear Chris Cornell's scream in "Say Hello 2 Heaven" right after he sings:

"...seek out another road, cause this one is ending abrupt..."

Best of all time? Not sure, but he's a contender with many of the Soundgarden tunes (Outshined, etc).

Also, Axl Rose's scream at the intro to "Welcome to the Jungle" comes to mind.

That's a good one, but greatest- Nah!

Now I am thinking maybe Robert Plant on Whole Lotta Love?

That shit is so bad ass.......its almost funny!! ;)

YES!! one of the top 3!!

Another (ultimate?) contender: Ian Gillan on Deep Purple's "Child In Time" . . . (I'm sure there are a few other Ian Gillan screams that could probably be contenders too!)

I can't remember the song but I have Yoko Ono screaming or dying or something off a Lennon tune that is my ring tone for when my wife calls me

Songs screaming anything dUg Pinnick does!
