Well you're more than doubling you're money so take it! You can always buy another VH4 later one unless its the Billy Corgan part you're attached to.

The fact that it's a blueface inside really makes me have anxiety about selling it.

Headfirst Alta. Channel switcher, covers the landscape of British tones I like with lots of flexibility, dual masters, effects loop, NFB and Depth controls, MIDI for switching channels and voicing options, big iron EL34, smaller builder with integrity. Current production, not unobtainium, but checks all the boxes for me.

My current amps cover that ground pretty well. If the Alta had been around 6-7 years ago, it's probably what I'd be using instead of the others. Who knows, if I decide to flip some of the others, I could still get one.

I don't really have a dream amp anymore. I wanted an Uber for years, and I'm really happy with that. I've been looking for the right rectifier for a while, and I love my Roadster. There's a few amps I'd like to try out, but I'm not really gassing for anything.

Must be nice having your own plane you can just jump in and go gear shopping anywhere you want.
I never said I have my own plane. What kind of bragging douche bag do you think I am? I rode a Gryphon I rented from a leprechaun.

And by the way, I had to sell a 1 of 2 guitar to my girlfriend at that time to finance both the amp and the trip. So I had to sacrifice a dream guitar for a dream amp. In hindsight, I wish I had sacrificed the girlfriend. (Not really...I never played the guitar at all. It was an art piece.)

Could have sold the girlfriend and kept the guitar and bought the amp.. win win

Nope. As it turned out, she wasn't worth the baggage fee, much less the plane tickets, hotel and rental car. But I got the amp...that's all that matters in the grand scheme of things.

Pictures of the amp....not the woman.

:2thumbsup:

i've been able to own and try many amps over the years.
As far as a dream amp, I would love to have a JVM410HJS again. I should have never sold the one I had years ago.
The other one would be a Bogner 100B.

For a long while it was a Dual or Triple rectifier, then a Diezel VH4, now I'd say a IIC+ or Wizard MTL
