Which EL34's are you all using?

I can hear power tube differences in most amps… my Mesa’s killed with the Sylvania’s, Cameron’s and Marshall’s with Winged C’s…. Etc. I’ve got a massive tube stash because I can hear the differences. Wish I didn’t.

I can also feel the difference. Some are tighter, some have better touch sensitivity, etc. and so on.

What are the tubes I got from you? Those are great. Much better than the tubes that were in my Friedman. The amp came alive and the pre amp tubes also changed the amp quite a bit, the clean channel became magnificent after the pre amp tube switch.

I sent you some GT EL34LS with the bigger heat wings than the JJ EL34 L. Preamp tubes..can’t quite remember but probably Ei pre war. I have a bunch

My Mesa TC-50 still has a lot of warranty coverage left, so I'll only run Mesa power tubes in it, currently running pair of the Mesa NOS Siemens STR 450s purchased direct from them (yes, price was silly), when its time to replace them. I'll probably go back to Mesa STR 447s.
