Which of these finishes do you like the best?

I'm seriously thinking of putting together a San Dimas Charvel copy with Musikraft parts. I have it all spec'd out, but the finish is killing me. The one I really want is out of my budget. I want a purple Jake E Lee finish but that's too much dough. So here are some pics I came up with.

Sunburst gets my vote.

EDIT: I think the Oiled finish looks better.

I could live with anyone of those, but im digging the seafoam green.

I like that tobacco sunburst. I'm having a single hum built too with Musikraft parts. I'm going with a solid nitro finish, not sure which color yet either. The only thing with Musikraft, it's really a gamble to know what the finished product will play or sound like.

It's a gamble with all of them... Warmoth included. I've heard great things about Musikraft.

Oiled or Burst. I had a parts guitar with a Muzikraft neck which felt nice. But the value of these guitars doesn't hold at all.

My vote would be oil or sb, especially if the wood has a nice grain to it. If it's mahogany or basswood or something with not a lot of grain showing, I'd go with a solid color.

But don't you need to buy an LP first??

I think any and all would be cool!! I know Im no help lol!

That said, Id be very interested to hear what you have to say about the guitar when its done!
Ive heard mixed things about Musikraft but I have never played one myself

Yeah I know... It's worth more in parts. The cool thing is that I can swap anything out and not feel bad! LOL! :D

Hmmm... Lotsa people saying oiled...

It's going to be alder. Maybe swampass... :D Probably alder though.

I do.. but fuck man.. It will take me 10 years to save up for it. :(

I've heard mostly good things. The people that complained about this and that said that they contacted the company and they did work with them. You know how it is.. people bitch and moan about shit all the time. Who knows if it's warranted or not.

I think both of those woods have a little (but not a lot) grain to them. I'd pick something that was transparent/semi-transparent like the oil or the burst. See-through red could look nice too.

I like this best...and if the necks are unfinished maple I would get the gun oil (yellowish tinted) neck/board...like the maple neck color on the EJ strat. :inlove:

I'm going just gun oil the neck. Like the EBMM neck on my Axis.
