Dimebag hetfield and carpenter are the reason I even started to play.

But if I had to do a mashup of my style. These guys are it. Totally brutal dudes. Jesper and Bjorns guitar dueling is like holy shit epic. Anders melodic death metal arrangements make you want to punch someone in the face. And schaffers right hand holy fuck. To a beginner guitarist his rhythms are terrifying. The guitar tones they get also are Just brutal. I never get tired of listening to their classics. They never get old.

Just checked that album out the other day for the first time, great tunes!

For me it's been, as it usually always is, Uli Jon Roth - the Scorpions Revisited discs are freakin awesome

Andy Timmons! I can't play anything like him but he's definitely someone I listen too ... a lot!

Meniketti
Lukather
Clark
Hoffman
Hawkins (Dan)
Bolin
Glenn Hughes voice

Today anyway.

Current favorites, Guthrie Goven, Tosin Abasi, Sam Vallen

Long standing favorite, Joe Satriani.

All time favorite since 1985, Steve Stevens.

Oh man. I didn't even know that recording existed. I ordered it immediately. I can only hope Uli isn't singing though. :D

Steve Lukather and Greg Howe. Both are not only great lead players but have awesome rhythm chops.

Me? Been rocking Malsmsteen's I Am A Viking
I remember hearing that scalar run to the intro of the solo and thinking....FUCK!!!!!!!!!!

I recently discovered Harem Scarem, so Pete Lesperance. He's really inspired me to think about big intervals and melodic twists, as opposed to just blazing.

Greg Koch for me. I've been doing a lot of hybrid picking lately, completely subconsciously. After I noticed, I started watching more Greg Koch stuff. One of my favorite players, for sure.

Johnny Marr
Robert Smith

Tomo-Zo (using an Engl. she's hot too, IMO)
