ME !! Aside from my plethora of 59 Les Pauls, I had Jackson #007 that I bought from Aldo Nova. Single HB with a floyd and pink/black tiger stripe. I really regret letting that one go.

Sorry for posting another Vai model but I remember staring at this in the Ibanez catalog (and in the "Passion and Warfare" insert) for hours, if not weeks.

So many cool guitars, but three that instantly come to mind for me:

Randy Piper & Chris Holmes from WASP had some cool guitars

My favourite would have to be Chris Holmes Jackson Budweiser Star

Before Slash brought the LP back to the forefront, and back when other dudes were wearing spandex and playing pointy headstocks, Duffy made it cool again to play vintage.....

And, yeah, I know; the photos are more recent, but the guitars haven't changed since the mid to late eighties.....

EVH  Had to know what it was, where the parts were from, where it came from, can I buy one just like it. He started the whole Super Strat thing back then only to be copied a million times over  .

scott ian and danny spitz had cool jacksons with ninja turtles and judge dredd . sorry no photos. :(

How about Michael Wilton and Chris DeGarmo's ESP guitars? They always seemed to have killer paintjobs.

Loved the crossed swords one
Vai's LNG Jem
Vai's FTLOG UV
Vivian's Storm Nightswan
Warren's Performance Boa Dinky
Dweezel's Slime Charvel
Vai's Green Meanie
Lynch's Desert Camo Kami
Skyes LP Custom
Any Kramer with a Nagel :D

To piss off Mentoneman............................Holdsworth's Charvel

YMMV, but for me the '80s were BC Rich and Steinberger. For guitars, my fav from back then has to be Vito Bratta's Steinbergers. For bass, it was DD Verni's BC Rich Spider bass (I had one of these, I posted a pick of me with it here awhile back when I found a youtube still-shot playing a song from a band I was in during the mid-90s. I had several American BC Rich's back then)

There were many good guitars around then, seems guitar makers were being very creative compared to today, IMO. I still have an early 80's Steinberger L2 bass, made in Newburgh that isn't going anywhere. If no one in the family wants it, I may be buried with it!

...and just wait for the new arrival!

Love Amir's guitars, and Chris Holmes' Jackson Stars were VERY cool. Robbin's King V's & Firebirds were the stuff of legend. Lynch's guitars are killer too...

Ibanez had some cool painted guitars in their catalogs. Warrant had a few. Cinderella had cool looking LPs. Jerry Garcia, you seen that one you knew who it belonged to. Angus and his SG. SRV.
