Who here has played the Splawn Nitro?

I now have a greenback loaded Marshall 4X12. Back then I had a Bogner Uberkab. I took the Competition over the Mike's aka ratter and we blasted it through his Marshall 4x12 with 25 watt black backs I think and it was still to bright, even with the treble and presence rolled off.

Then it's gotta be different than the QR voicing-wise. My QR is anything but bright. Yeah you can dial it in very bright, but with everything at noon it's not bright. It's got a very punchy articulate attack. But it's not bright. As a matter of fact, I'm on 2nd gear right now and my bass is on 9:00 and it's thick as anything.

Dunno but mine was way bright.

yngzaklynch, i can tell you that a nitro will sound very dark through a greenback loaded cab. i really like the nitro through my gov/mow cab which is somewhat analagous to a v30/g12t-75 cab, but a bit smoother. i still say it's a dark/smooth amp even through that cab.

The Nitro is definitely on the list of amps being considered. Just dunno yet.
