Are you in that business, Raul? Servers MySQL and such? I've stumbled over a website with free forums (and created a test version), which of course would have advertising . . . I also have to speak to the hoster of the official site . . .

Hopefully we're lucky and a good guy wins the auction though.

I have own domain/hosting with reasonable hosting plan, that will get the load of the Diezel forum (I think, but don't know what the statistics are). Ad-free. So if rig-talk.com becomes unsuitable, I think that in return to great knowledge I acquired and great people met here, I can offer hosting it absolutely free of charge, if you find that offer suitable and comfortable
I have phpBB3 installed there just for testing purposes, so it is empty now. Give me a note Duesentrieb, if you want me to create test admin account there...

If you need a hand from the technical end, let me know, I'd be glad to help out, whether it's here or elsewhere. I've been doing high level IT and web development work for years and this stuff is old hat to me. If I weren't recently unemployed and looking for work, my hat would be in the ring to buy this site.

I can host a new Diezel forum on my server - no problem, if worse comes to worse. And yeah, I'm in that sort of business.
