I used them mostly for hunting. Unscoped, big ass revolvers. Snubbies would be good for carrying, but I don't carry revolvers usually. My buddy usually has a J frame or two in his pocket(s).
I too have one of these as well as a Python both from the late 60's bought for very reasonable prices!

100% Agree, it's an awesome gun for sure, but at the same time the vintage nature of just about anything will make it more expensive even if they still make new models.
Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the old Smith's, so I would have passed as well. Now the S&W M&P R8 on the other hand I have and love!
Yeah but that particular .44 mag is “The” Dirty Harry gun. It’s an icon.
