Who played the Vigier Shawn Lane model?

24 fret neck? The neck pu is back slightly like the Vai?
Yup, and funnily enough with buckers I don't mind the placement closer to the bridge. On single coils it tends to bug me.

The SL is as close to a Excalibur as a Les Paul is to a PRS.

Trust me, your Vigier does not play anything like the SL guitar. They are VERY different instruments...

Yeah, first rip on one I was having more issues than normal with that flat radius but after 5 minutes man can you burn on that plank.
