I might try this route before I plunk down $2000 for a Kemper.. Would like some feedback.
How loud are you cranking the amp?? I have a JSX with a master, but it's still too loud and needs volume. Also thinking of getting another Marshall.iggs":kk0u5u8l said:Sounds and works awesome, no complaints here. Use it with my Friedman BE-100 at home and it brings the volumes down to conversation level without affecting sound and feel (minus the added "feel" of a cranked speaker of course)

Are you guys diming the volume, or just goosing it much more? I can't see turning a 100 watt Marshall, or a 120 watt 5150 up past noon and attenuation being that effective in quieting things down to apartment levels.. Or, maybe?? If this is the case, my prayers are answered!

I'm not diming it as I wouldn't do that even in a live or studio situation but the amp is set at live, stage volume which would peel paint off walls without an attenuator.
In "studio" setting on RockCrusher you can go to whisper quiet regardless.

I run it with my Rivera KR-100 with the volume around 4 which I find to be pretty loud un-attenuated. I had the THD HotPlate prior to and the RC's are IMO much better in retaining the feel and tone. Under the higher attenuation levels it also didn't get as thin of fizzy as the I found the HotPlate to. I've been extremely happy with mine. Use it every day for home jamming and have used it live as well.
