I just find the BMAN to be so much more useful for Fender tones
that the T/D doesn't sit in my rack for very long. The issue I have with the T/D is that
its hard to find an EQ setting that works for both the T and D side without the D side
sounding flubby (too much bass) or the T side sounding icepick bright (not enough bass).
I don't have this problem with any other dual Egnater module. At one point I remember Jeff saying
they were going to address this issue in a newer version of the T/D, not sure if this happened.

Using the DLX I don't have this issue. I love my DLX :) It's a killer clean tone for sure!!!! :)

This is so funny. I've been all geeked up in my "blackface clean is the single greatest thing on the planet" fix for the past 3 months - thus the reason for this thread.

But, then I re-stumble across this video of Carl Verheyen playing a 59 Bassman...

And dang man, maybe a little dirty/clean is the way to go...

Uh oh, looks like I'd better get modularized!

:)

Seriously, even with great sounding, 3 channel amps - there isn't one out there that's going to be voiced wtih a T/D, BMAN, and V/X all in one amp. A low to medium gain players dream.

This is exactly why I am jones-ing for the E2 to come out and put 2 more low-medium gain modules in the rack!

I think it is possible folks just take it for granted that the T/D is grand central station where all beautiful clean tones start. Dunno...I personally find that it has some of the best of every Fender amp I've ever owned/played. Also, if I'm in a pedal kind of mood, I usually start with the T/D or B'Man as well as it is super pedal-friendly. I remember the first time I plugged into the T/D with my Gretsch 6120, it was obvious I was playing through an amp/instrument designed by a master who has soaked in all the best Fendery tones of 60s and 70s and refined them into one circuit with elegant simplicity. Commence the tone coronation march theme for El Bruce:

 WOW!Vjd3,thanks for the vid!You just need the beard now.. And very nice clips from John Czajkowski

I just got my T/D and noticed that B channel is much louder than A channel. Is this the way it should be?

at least it sounds better than this

Confession time:

I just tried a T/D for the first time this past saturday.

It's the bomb.

I've always been a JC120 guy, so I like CLEAN. I never connected with the Bman module. The warmth, for me, = sounded dull and lacked sparkle. I like CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN.

Right now, my VX is sad and lonely outside the M4. :(
