little clip of my Wizard MC100. Trying out different tube combinations, and I think I like this one. let me know what you think, kind of going for a heavy 80's tone.

thanks man, really appreciate that! This was the PRS Tremonti, w/ BK Painkiller pups, and a BB Preamp boost through a Mills Acoustics 412B w/V30.rocker":3i2n0h9i said:WOW, this is the best Wizard clip I've heard so far. Did you use the PRS in this clip? Stock pups, any boost? Again, great clip and playing.

haha, I wish, thanks very much though brother.ericsabbath":ogxzgxvo said:your writing and playing skills are so awesome that any analysis on tone becomes obsolete
thanks man, I'm really liking this amp, it's definitely a keeper. Has a real growl and openess to it, without being too stiff or dry. Has that marshally midrange grind my ears have been craving, with a bigger lowend that still stays controlled and packs a wallop in the low mid. Very fun amp to play man, congrats!warhead78":ogxzgxvo said:Great clip man! Just what I needed to hear as I have one on order. How are you liking the MC so far? I ask because I've owned all the amps you currently have and would like your take on it.

no, thank you Mike. I was psyched to check out your stuff after you helped me so much with my XTC and ENGL, then I actually got to hear clips and talk to people that owned/played your stuff. It was a no brainer after that. I was originally planning on a bones or cali Marshall, but the NATAS has me pretty excited. Should only be a few more months before I'm placing an order.FortinAmps":2obgwe4c said:Erock":2obgwe4c said:thanks Mike! Thank you for considering one of my amp
I'm not sure of your location but if you are in driving distance of Long Island NY, it would be great to meet you in person, come on by if you can!

Loved the mix of the heavy rhythm and leads.

haha, thanks man, glad you liked it! For that audio clip, I have a quad of those cryo Tung Sol EL34B in the power amp, RFT 12AX7's in V1 and V2, and the stock EHX in V3/PI. The vid had the stock compliment of EHX in the pre, and JJ E34L in the poweramp. I liked the big bottom of the E34L in it, but the JJ's blew soon after I did that vid. I replaced them with another set of JJ, and that quad bit the dust shortly after too. I used an old set of TAD EL34 I had lying around until I got the TS, and they lasted longer than either quad of JJ's did. The current run of JJ powertubes have pretty shitty reliability from my experience.loudgtr":1hbcpgff said:Erock":1hbcpgff said:thanks man, I'm really liking this amp, it's definitely a keeper. I'd say you decribed the amp perfectly from the clip and the youtube video of yours ... I just watched and listened to it about half a dozen times while surfing on the web tonight. Killer man!
What tube combo did you settle on for the audio clip?

Hi Jack! No attenuation, so yeah it was pretty loud, just a hair under 9:00 on the vol. It's the C version tranny. Only thing that's changed is I put in different preamp and power tubes in it. That clip was boosted though too, I use an Xotic BB Preamp OD. Thinking of another?.Jack71":2y56mi4d said:Why the fuck did I sell mine!??
Any attenuation in that clip? If not, how loud were you playing? I can't believe that the Wizard through a 4x12 of V30's didn't shred your eardrums!
Oh yeah, is this the newer version with the Mercury Mag trannies?
