Does anyone know what the order of the tubes are in a 2017 wizard modern classic 2? What tube is the cathode follower?
Thanks so much.

Tube 1= first gain stage?
Tube 2=
Tube 3=
Tube 4=
Tube 5=
Tube 6= phase inverter?

I'm told it's:

Phase inverter
Tube buffered loop
Recovery stage and tone stack driver for both channels
Lead channel
Lead channel
Rhythm channel

Thanks. Are you starting on the far right if looking at the back of the amp? Does this amp have a cathode follower tube?

Here’s what I’m told

Tube 1= First gain stage - Both Channels

Tube 4= Lead Channel
Tube 5= Loop
Tube 6= phase inverter

I believe so. Not sure about the Cathode follower though. I got my info from 'Burger' (Jase @ Headfirst) as he's built a many MCII clones in the past. Mine is a 2017 too. Love it.
I wish there was some official basic info on the Wizard website though.

I’m wondering if this MCII has a cathode follower at all? Is it a plate driven tone stack or something?

But, where's YOUR #1 ?? :sneaky: Looking in from the back of the amp, is 1 from the right or left ??? Is first gain stage the one closest to the guitar input ??
