Wizard W800 gutshots

Since we're talking about Wizards vs other amps, you pay more because Rick build it. Every amp is masterbuilt by the guy who designed it and who has the experience and pedigree and the client base that the average internet garage builder doesn't. Not that those people can't make a nice amp, they just don't have the pedigree/rep/client base to command more $ for their time.

1. Are you stating that Rick “masterbuilt” (?) and designed modded Marshalls?
2. Are you also calling Mike Soldano an “internet garage builder”? Because that would be fucking hilarious.

Let me be clear for you - I’ll cut you some slack because you’re an Aussie who prob has a few bush pigs on hold to tend to 😂

Get back to us after you’ve actually plugged a guitar into the little holes on the front of the amp and used your ears to make an informed decision. Otherwise, to paraphrase, ‘it doesn’t look like it sounds very good’ is a pretty dumb mindset.

Classic Yank arrogance and ignorance here. I’ve had Wizards at my house numerous times. I’ve spent time rehearsing with them. They’re cool sounding amps.
My point was, there’s nothing in those shots you’re posting which is going to make me rush out and buy one. Once you’ve finished furiously masturbating over your Wizard and your perceived comedic abilities, you might want to start saving some cash for other amps to compare it to, both sonically and in terms of build quality. There’s DIY’ers who’ve built neater Wizard clones with cleaner wiring runs.
Your paraphrasing game and your condescending attempt at establishing a strawman argument are equally shithouse.

This is a thread about W800 gut shots is it not? How has it morphed into a pissing contest and argument ? Sad... this very derailed thread is why I infrequently visit these forums. Try to be professional people, everyone has different opinions, but to hurl insults instead of just respecting one another is beyond me. In this day in age... for once stop fighting, if you like the Wizard great, if not, also great! Each to their own.

It‘s unfortunately what zero moderation will get you

The guy has a New Wizard W800 and he’s excited about it, he posts some pictures. I know a couple guys with these and obviously, I have seen the videos on YouTube, it’s an absolute killer monster of an Amplifier!

Any human being with some dignity and respect would join in and share his excitement, but no…

If this thread is an indication of where we are going, humanity is in big trouble.
F’n Pathetic…

Some people wake up in the morning with the sole desire to piss all over other people's stuff.
Makes them feel like they 'own' them.

What exactly is the W800?? I don't see it on the Wizard site..

This is true. But now that I know the circuit is trash....fucking non twisted wires. I actually lit the amp on fire today. I am going to get the amp that has the most ribbons in it I can find. That is some clean looking wiring.

I didn‘t post shit for shots and you made a stupid fucking statement, live with it ya fucking wanker 😂

Yes, After reading this thread,
My advice is to Look for a Peavey Triple XXX .
A guy here on Rigtalk says it blows away the Wizard stuff, (he’s never played through a Wizard), but he knows!

I have found here on the forum that some of the most knowledgable people regarding Wizard Amplifiers never even need to try one, they just know👍

In all fairness, before all the pricing madness, the XXX was the best fucking bang for the buck you could get. I traded a zuul for mine. That amp is a heavyweight monster. I haven't played enough peaveys to say it was their best creation. But it was pretty fucking cool. Never heard anyone talk down on them that has had them. I wouldn't go as far as to trade the wizard for it, but I wouldn't mind playing one again.

XXX are very underrated amps. I've seen a lot of guys gigging them and getting killer tones.

I will live with it, and stand by my comment. There’s nothing in those shots that would make me buy a Wizard.
You somehow extrapolated some kind of personal insult from that and then, Christ knows how, paraphrased some kind of dig against how Wizard amps sound.
As I said before, you borderline illiterate numpty, the Wizards I’ve spent time with sound cool. My comment was on the wiring and internals. If this still makes you itchy, I couldn’t give two shits. Fuck off, and have a great day.

I think my two favorite things I have learned from this thread are numpty and bush pig. Now I don't know if there is some negative slang that bush pig represents or if it a literal interpretation, but I will pretend that bush pig and red river hog are very nasty insults.

Definitely in some necks of the woods......
