You guys are dicks!

There really is nothing I find comfortable about Pauls. They are bulky, the neck is generally fat, they weight a ton (though I did like the studio lites in this regard!) and if Im playing one sitting down it always feels like it wants to fall back off my leg. So its not so much a front contour issue, but the body in general I find bulky and generally heavy. My solution was to get a PRS CE instead, which I did a few years ago. I never play it. Not only does it not sound as much like a Paul, but I dont really like the shorter scale of those "type" of guitars anyway. I guess Im just a Strat guy.

But damn Pauls do sound great.

Sorry man for diggin on ya :) I just couldn't resist!!!

Like I told you before Matt...You should try a Heritage CM-140. The edge rim is a 1/2" smaller, so it doesn't feel as bulky. The weight is about the same as my normal strats. And the neck is the thinner neck design.

The scale issue..yeah...that's a problem though. Maybe you should sell that PRS...and have Nick build you a Warmoth PRS style guitar. I've built 4-5 of those, and they definitely have that tone, and you can pick your scale length....you can pick the neck contour (get the wizard contour..it rocks!)

Also...get a the 5-way blade style megaswitch from Stew Mac that acts just like a 5-way rotary switch on your PRS, but it's like a strat / tele 5-way switch! Wayy wayy cool. And then throw some Rebel Yells in it.

get the PRS SC245 or 250 they have 2 different scale lengths and wide thin, wide fat necks. Also thinner.

I had a PRS for awhile. Great guitar, but I eventually got rid of it. I had Gibson for Gibson sounds, and I thought the PRS didn't do Fender sounds very well. I also wasn't crazy about the rotary switching knob. Great whammy bar, though.
