I've never even heard of this before - is it anything like the SD-9 (Sonic Distortion)? Just wondering because it looks almost just like one.
Anyway, the secret to the SD-9 is basically having the tone control all the way off

No, it's basically the OD820 in a standard-sized enclosure.
