So a lot of people have asked me to re-post what happened with this seller since the first thread got deleted.
In a nutshell, this seller took my money, sat on it for a week, didn't send the amp out when he said he would (didnt answer my msgs for request of tracking info) and then sent my money back when he had a better offer.
Basically dicked me off the whole time while I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt.
What's worse is when he caught wind of the fact that I had posted my gripe here on Rig-talk somehow my number ends up on some shitty website and now I have people texting me on my business phone all day trying to hook up.
This guy's dishonest, doesnt follow through with a deal and a total cunt.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS GUY!

I was like crap I just unpacked it but glad I did after trying the footswitch as I didn't try the amp with the stock footswitch and it would only work once in a while!

Just wondering if you can send the Footswitch and the old tubes with the amp if you wouldnt mind.
I have an old tube tester from the 50's and I can see how much wear they have on them.

I did double box this beast and used amp packing corners and packed it very tight with 2 covers over the amp and bubble wrap around everything.
A couple things I need to point out and if you don't like something about this then I can refund your money back. I just want you to be perfectly happy.
First, I dropped one of the old mesa power tubes packing it and broke it. It dropped out of the box. I trashed the others.
Second, I don't use footswitches (I have a MIDI switcher) but wanted to make sure everything worked before sending the amp. I found that the footswitch would not switch channels and only worked once in a while after 100 clicks. I took the back off and ohmed the switch out and found it was junk. The person I bought it from didn't tell me. I had a carling toggle switch I installed and soldered in which is factory replacment. Works great and channel switches.

Mesa doesn't produce tubes they rebrand them, which the 430's are just a off the shelf Sovtek WXT. The TAD's are much sweeter, and warmer sounding then those tubes in my opinion. I thought the JJ's, TAD's or SED's all sounded better for my Three channel rectifier rather then the 430's.
If you are just going to not use those TAD's then maybe I should not ship the amp with them?
Yeah I mean there old tubes I broke one and really if it's a deal breaker for you, no big deal. Just let me know so I can move forward with this. I just want to be honest with you.
Yes I repaired the footswitch so now it will switch channels. Before it would not.

I was just trying to understand what Joel wanted do with the power tubes if he still wanted the amp. What he was thinking.. if he wanted a refund or still do the deal. I just wanted him to be happy.

They are inside the amp just like Mesa ships them out. I took them out for one guy and he was pissed at me on another amp I sold.
Original manual no. I don't have it. You'll have to download it from Mesa/Boogies web-site.

Hey Jason, We're cool man, I appreciate your honesty and you helping with the pedal and the $1500 worth of insurance. No bigee on the Mesa tubes.
Yes, I realize those tubes were re-branded Sovteks, what I meant was I'm not sure Mesa produces the 430's anymore and without an adjustable bias it can be tough to find 6 matched tubes in mesa spec from a dealer. That's all..
I'm sure the Tube Amp Doctors will suffice! As long as they're matched fairly closely then we're good to go. I assume you checked?
Are you sending it Fedex or UPS? Is it shipping out tomorrow?

Yeah most tube places sell "Mesa" spec tubes. Most Mesa amps are biased so low that it won't matter what you put in from my finding after owning a bunch of there gear. Pretty sad to me because there is "warmth" that is missing..
I didn't check the tubes in this amp. I did in the SLOclone type amp I built and there closer then what I would expect to see. They go through some good testing before TAD ships them out... you will see on the tube sticker on the base. There some good tubes. I like the sounds of them. If you don't want them I'll keep them for myself.
By the way. If you have ever checked any "Mesa" rebranded type power tube you will see that they are much farther off then other tubes I've tested but that is just what I've found.
Mesa does not produce tubes. They rebrand them. Most knowledgable tube dealers will be able to help you get what ever brand you want that will work fine in your Mesa at a cheaper price.

No I was just trying to be nice and send some new power tubes with this amp, but it sounds like you want to replace them right away and not even bother with them. If that was the case I would have no reason in sending them along.
No I didn't buy the amp from Chris. I bought it from the guy who bought this amp from Chris. He didn't include the manual.

I don't think he wasn't smart or anything like that. He just didn't want to deal with installing tubes. Some people don't understand how to install tubes or don't want worry about it. They bring it some where. Which is what he wanted to do. So I had to pay for that.
Yeah every tube amp that I bought has come with all tubes installed and all been fine. I hope that is the case here as I packed the crap out of it.

That is where I screwed up and my fault. I said the latest the amp would be out was Wed. of Oct. 19th. I didn't get a chance to get it to my friend and with everything going on with this deal.. either way I promised the 19th I should have held to that date.
My friend went to ship it the Oct 20th. They said that Joel have given me a PO box and UPS will not ship to a PO box. Ok so I e-mail Joel, and ask if there is another address I can ship to. This is where I knew things had turned for the worst and just wanted to refund his money.
