WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DOING ANY TRANSACTION WITH SELLER JASONP

Here's a rundown of your BS as the above emails point out.
Everyone here can read this and see if this indicates a smooth transaction or not. Ok?

- You cant take a pic of a scratch for me because the amp is packed. (of course everyone has the amps packed up before they sell them right?)

- Days later you can't send the tubes you had agreed to because somehow you dropped one (in an already previously packed amp)
So you decide to trash 5 other tubes because one dropped. Makes sense..

- You refuse to pack tubes separately when I make the request because some other guy in a deal you did before got mad at you for doing that so naturally I cant have the tubes packed the way I want.
I'm sure 3 huge big bottle rectifier tubes would be just fine bouncing around in an amp half way around the country.
I also mentioned that my UPS guy has broke stuff on me before and I would prefer the piece of mind.

- You have the balls to tell me that you're doing me a favor by putting another set of tubes in that you didn't drop and that you would send the amp without any if I was just gonna get new ones.
I think we both know your For sale post didn't say "triple rectifier for sale no Power tubes". That shits expensive man.. That's just ridiculous if you think that's reasonable..

- When asked about ship date you tell me wednesday at the latest.. Wednesday comes and you don't respond to my messages about tracking.

- I get an email from you thu. afternoon telling me that UPS called you and they wont ship the amp now because you gave them a PO Box address.
I email you to let you know that UPS NEVER takes in a package with a PO Box address. It just doesnt happen and its common sense.
So after everything that's gone on and you not shipping the amp or responding this looks really odd man.
I didnt give you a hard time, just pointed that out. (I guess you left that message out from above huh?)

-Next thing I know you've got some sand in your vagina and you're sending me butthurt emails.
Then 5 mins later, out of the blue the refund.. It wasn't a mutual decision.
You were upset at me asking questions apparently. Unreal dude.

You need counseling man. A deal is a deal. You take someones money, you have to carry through with it and you shouldnt even entertain any further offers at that point.
I cant imagine what your criticisms of me are, other than I'm very direct.
My feeling is, once somethings starts looking sketchy, it usually is and I have no problem asking the right questions to uncover the Bullshit which is exactly what I did here.
Sorry that bothers you but you really need to rethink you're online selling approach, preferably somewhere other than Rig-talk.com.

Yeah two sides to every story is what should always be remembered here. Again I am no saint but I am so happy that this "deal" didn't go through. I don't care if my name is dragged through the dirt on this. I'm not gong to deal with a jerk like this guy comes out to be.

Two sides to what story?
The emails prove everything I said.
You had sellers remorse because you had another deal..
No one refunds money because they're upset about someone asking questions.

Whatever story you're trying to fabricate is paper thin.
I did NOTHING wrong in the transaction. You're a real sketchy dude Jason and You can deny the website issue but its just another one of your convoluted lies.

Joel, dude come on. I still have the amp. I just didn't want to "deal" with you. Call me a woman or what ever you want, I don't care. I did not lie to you.

This whole deal with me going on facebook or what ever and "nasty" e-mails is a joke and you know it. This is all made up things to make me look bad. I'm sorry your pissed dude, please don't go making stuff up.

1. I never said I coudn't take a picture of the scratch. Please look above at my PM to you if you forgot what I said. When you said, "consider it sold, send me your paypal." I got the amp packed up, dropped the amp off so it was all ready for you to go out that day. Pretty much every deal I've done I get paid right after someone says that. I basically wanted to get it out right away for you to be happy. I did go pick the amp back up and un-pack it to take pictures play it and install new power tubes, the old power tubes still worked fine just wanted to sweetin the deal. I then got a PM saying it was ok no need to take pictures. You then later paid me.

2. The old power tubes. When I was repacking the amp yes I did drop one old power tube I was boxing up. I left the lid open, it fell out onto the floor. I trashed the others. I thought you know, these tubes are like 4+ years old, who is going to want 5 old, in my experience, poorly matched power tubes. I was perfectly ok with sending them. No problems there. I will say it was my fault for not asking you if you wanted the old 5. Rather I asked if you wanted a refund because I wasn't able to ship the amp out with the 6 old Mesa tubes we agreed on. Sorry for not giving you the 5 option. Also sorry for not realizing you wanted the all the tubes packed separately. I don't know if you did ever directly say that.

3. I asked if you wanted me not to ship the amp out with any power tubes because I thought you were going to replace them, as you said in your PM. I didn't care either way I just wanted you to be happy dude!

4. Your right I didn't respond to your PM about tracking info on Wed. I take full blame for not getting the amp out like I said I was going to on Wed and also not responding to your PM. That was LAME of me. Sorry Joel!
May I just say that I really didn't know if you still wanted the amp till later on in the week until you PM'ed me and said don't worry about the old power tubes.

5. Yes I did leave all the e-mails out and just posted PM's. I can post them that is not a problem. I think mostly I didn't understand why it was my fault that I was sent a confirmed paypal address that had a P.O. box on it if you known that UPS doesn't ship to one? This to me is where it all went down hill. I didn't make a big deal out of this PO box thing, you did and I'm not sure why you choose to do so. That is why I refunded your money man. I thought if you were going to make this a big deal and not even reason with me on this part then when and if you got the amp, if there was a problem there would be no reasoning with you. I'm sorry if that comes across as sandy or what ever you think.

6. You have said that I sent "butthurt" and "nasty" e-mails. No way man, I don't agree with you. I'm sorry if you thought I was being "nasty" to you.

It doesn't appear that anyone was harmed in this transaction except for some feelings getting hurt on both sides and some he said/ he said stuff that really can't be substantiated. Hey mods can this thread be deleted?

This is not the gear page and thank God for that !

There is no reason this thread needs to be deleted .... If you have a problem with it just don't read it

Here's the email that apparently hurt your feelings so much that you had to break off our deal.
This is about a week after I sent payment and a day after your imposed "deadline" that you didnt come through on.

From: Guitarman967@aol.com

Subject: Re: Joel Bousquet sent you $1,350.00 USD
To: jason5150ii@hotmail.com

Wondering if you got my response to your email earlier on in the day? didn't get a return email. Just want to make sure.
The physical address should have been in the Paypal payment.

So they called you after dropping the amp off huh?
I'm really surprised that UPS would take an amp with a PO Box address on it..
They dont even deliver to PO Boxes.
I hope its not a UPS store. Those people are the worst.

Here's the address in case you didn't receive it earlier.
Joel Bousquet
85 Ellendale Circle
Springfield MA. 01128
=)

Now, if that's cause for you to flip out and return payment then honestly man, there's no working with you and that's what happened and the whole reason that I'm posting this bad experience.
Reason for return: Questions hurt my feelings.

Its no wonder I'm assuming you had another deal set up when this is the reason for you're paper thin excuses.
And BTW, why wouldn't the buyer have a right to ask questions such as this? I gave you $1350 of my money and you didnt follow through with your end of the bargain.
Once again, buyer beware.

as someone who deals online probably a bit more than any of you guys, I will say this. This is not a deal gone wrong. Guitarman967 - you got your money back, didn't you? Too bad the deal didn't work out, but all you lost was a week of correspondence and some money frozen. JasonP admitted to some of his mistakes, and frankly speaking, I don't see a problem here. A misunderstanding happened, hey, guess what! IT HAPPENS! Especially when you don't talk about the deal on the phone, rather via e-mail.

It's amazing how you guys find the time to post so much shit about each other, when neither one of you was actually scammed. I know both of your nicknames and they seem to have a good rep. So quit whining and grow up! Shake hands like fellow forumites and move on with your lives!

Yep, this is the bottom line. Nobody got scammed.

There were difficulties in getting it done, and in the end, it sounds like both of you are glad you didn't complete the transaction with each other. But it's no reason to slag on a guy on a forum and recommend nobody deal with the guy.

I mean, I reserve that kind of warning for somebody who steals my money, or who grossly misrepresents the condition of a piece of gear.

The title says would not recommend doing any transactions with jasonp. Not I was scammed.
The reasons have been detailed en nauseum in the thread.
Some of us may have time for transactions such as this but to me its a huge frustrating waste of time.. for those of us who would rather avoid it, here's fair warning.

Maybe the bad transaction rules should be more clear brad.. is it only a scam and or a poorly described item that qualifies here?
First a mod deletes the thread, no one owns up to it but you're quick to cop an atitude and blame me right?
now you chime in here as if to condone deals like this on the site? I don't get it man..

Calling it like I see it your a bit of a drama queen and Jason didnt do all the right stuff. We dont need to own up to anything, your a guest here in my place. I try to be the most fair forum owner anywhere and have that reputation. Nobody got hurt here, get on with living. If you dont like the forum or my FREE classifieds I suggest you try pay for play sites like eBay.

guitarman967, bro, no one's blaming you. It's just that I think you've made your point and there's no need to continue the shitstorm. Everyone heard both sides of the story and decides for himself whether to deal with you guys or not.

and also, I think it's kinda ironic that right now I'm in the same situation like yours with another (trusted) RT forumite  :gethim:

Communication is KING, people. If you're going through a deal and you're experience problems, it doesn't cost you anything to drop a line to the other party!

I have dealt with JasonP where he was on the buying end of a messed up UPS deal when they broke up a 4x12 I was shipping him. We communicated through the whole process and he was about as polite as could be for somebody who was out the cash and a cabinet at the time. We were able to fix the situation by UPS refunding me and I having another 4x12 I could send him. Luckily this one made it in good shape. Just speaking up here that my dealings with JasonP was great, and honestly I understand time is valuable to all of us. You feel like yours was wasted, but like :fred: said phone communication is best for transactions of value, and if things are not going smoothly that is the first thing to do. Had you guys got on the phone this may have ended up totally different. PM and email can be communicated by the sender and received the the recipient and end up meaning two different things to the two parties. This sounds like a lot of what happened here.

Good luck to both of you. I would move on and be happy things worked out as well as they did!!
