Mark built an amp he called a Custom ( cannot remember the designation), maybe Custom 120 or similar. I heard that one was killer but the only one got destroyed in shipping. It had higher filtering than the CCV which is already high.
I believe that was the Custom 75.

Is there a schematic of the CCV so we can build them?
The ceriatone King Kong is supposedly a copy of a CCV and I presume they are close but it’s not exact.

I hear a really really high B+ in the CCV itself which unless you know the transformer specs, the circuits are always going to fall short. I hear a lot of similarity to my bogner XTC with MM iron with the massive B+.

It's running EL34's at over 25 watts idle in grid bias class AB @ 550v high power. There is no other way to get that tone, save cathode bias. That's why I ruin JJ KT77's at 460v and 30+ watts idle with a 5K6 OT.

There are similarities but honestly not even close sound wise lol like not even in the same universe sound wise .... king Kong that is ....

Also the way ceriatone did the punch and presence switches is totally wrong to

When I mismatch for 2K8 Z i can dime the EQ and it opens up fully, gets near redplate, and the tone that comes from sacrificing power tubes is achieved. There is no substitute. This is why ccv’s will not be sold. I’ve never understood why guitar players are ocd about “muh 70%” when rock n roll is about DANGER and ADVENTURE. Much like putting cheap modern glass in high end amps. Yeah, let’s buy a Lambo and run 87 from the cheap station in it…

Dude, I'll be looking you up in a couple of weeks.
You've got quite the arsenal over there.
Let's blend the Larry with the CCV.
Scoop the mids on the Larry and bring in
the killer mids of the CCV.
Also, you got a bass guitar & amp?
Can I bring my 4 piece drum set?

BTW, all of Y'ALL do know the CCM is
an Aldrich, that's it, nothing special.

We should get together and have fun with the amps for sure!
Unfortunately, I no longer have my studio, and we could not fit not even an Ampeg fliptop in my amp room now.

Np, I have a secret amp I'll bring.
The only thing I ask if I do have the opportunity to plug in and play is...NOBODY touches the amp
controls but me.
I'll find it, sit tight.
Seriously though, combining amps can be mindblowing, SUPER HEAVY.
A gnarly one is a Wizard MCII & a Revision F
Triple Rec.
Also when you take an amp out of the combo,it
can unleash qualities you may have overlooked in that amp, creating a new flavor of the vibe.

I agree. When you're looking for a different, new kind of tone, mixing amps can be the way to go.
I've learned the most about that when Roy Thomas Baker was producing the band I was in, and we would go to Lake Havasu and spend two weeks at time, working on pre-production for the album at his private studio.
So, I applied all that to my work, specially while I was in Brazil and tracking metal bands.

RAD!!!!
On another note, I had a landscape design & sprinkler system business for 28 years.
No mortal could match my level of creativity, true & tried expertise & innovation as my company except
one company named “Blue” so when I see your internet name I immediately sorta think of that dude.
F-that dude, you the man!
