True story, there are a LOT of parallels. It was pretty easy mentally to move from one hobby into the other. :) I'm hanging onto a few fundamentals as well plus my hunting rig, the rest is moving on.

Precisely why I stick with vintage rounds; 303, 30-06, 8mm, 7.62x54. Btw, Nothing says shoulder love like an 8mm recoil smacking a poorly held Mauser. Mommy !

Yessir. For competitive shooting on these we typically will wear the shooting jackets. “Save the shoulder”. Those dudes who were fighting in streets and trenches with these weapons were iron men.
