It looks like an Anderson and the guy went as far as to have them install a switch-a-roo even :confused:

Dude must love ESP to have paid an extra $2000 to ESP make that Anderson :lol: :LOL:
 
The guy lives in Japan, where ESP is known as a custom builder, not the ESP we know in the US with standard series, and LTD and all that. The dude (Shinji) personally knows many of the ESP luthiers, picks out his own woods for his guitars and oversees the build process.

I'd say he gets what he pays for, and it's 100% as good as anything we in the US deem a great guitar (i.e. Suhr, Anderson, etc.).

The guys he has build his guitars are the cream of the crop for ESP, and I'd wager Japan in general and are every bit even with their top line US peers.

Also, to have an Anderson made here and shipped there, or an ESP made there and shipped here seems like it'd be pretty even.

He owns a few Anderson guitars and he's Daita's personal guitar tech. Daita owns about 8-10 Anderson's as well.

Reminds me a bit of forumite parntz145's strat style made by atlas...He has had nothing but great things to say about it (and hope you don`t mind me hijacking your pics Paul!) and if I am not mistaken it was sub $2000

If I remember correctly.. He said it plays like a dream and sounds great to boot (and hes had multiple GMWs). If I am not mistaken, Josh Sage is now a dealer....
 
Man, that thing is nice.
I would have preferred the std ESP strat-style headstock. That one looks too much like a Surh/Anderson :bleh:

They do custom hollowbodies for like $1500, so that was probably even less
 
Yea, Thats my Atlas. Hey Jesse thanks for posting the picture of it. When I saw that ESP I thought it looked just like my guitar also. I paid $1560 for that guitar and that included shipping from Thailand. The quality is just as good as any Suhr or Anderson. I have owned some of the best going and sold them all for the Atlas. And of course my old Les Paul. I just ordered another which should be done in 2 months.

Hey Tim, that guitar is beautiful! Where abouts did that end up running you and what was the turn around time? Did you order through Josh, or direct?
