The SL2X Module marks Egnater’s nod to the legendary tone behind hard rock’s British ancestry. Finely honed with majestic overtones, yet aggressive enough to slice through any mix, the SL2X re-defines and elevates the British sound it beyond its previous boundaries.
The SL2X has two pre-amp channels which create a well defined multi-layered tone. Channel A cuts like a blade with a focused mid attack and violin sustain. Channel B adds layers of thick, rich harmonics that create a distinctive solo voice with an ultimate modern grind. The SL2X elevates the classic British expression to a new realm.

All are very good, but I probably like this the most.

I'll play:

SL2X

Slash your way through the Jungle of cheap imitators and experience the best British-inspired tones on the planet. 2 channels of tonal bliss covering the entire gamut of gain and tones, Egnater's latest module will take you from Woodstock to Paradise City to a Little South of Heaven and every stop in between. With the perfect blend of tight low end, slicing mids and sweet highs, the SL2X will have you wondering how you have survived this long without it.
Channel A takes you from the blues and early days of rock all the way to the tight, defined and in your face gain that made grown men wear spandex.
Channel B ups the ante with more than enough gain, attitude and tonal options to cause a Chinese Democracy.

The SL2X-2 glowing tubes and few knobs is all this beast needs to keep you dancing with Mr. Brownstone all night long.

I made some *slight* tweaks to my wording.

If that's not allowed, I'll go back to the original one.

I want to play fair, of course.

I don't know Nick, I still think your original was the best.

errrrr, what is the SL2X? Seriously. I have an SL2 but what is this you speak of? Is it the Guns n Roses mod?

Although I loved GnR, I was never a huge fan of the tone. However, I love the thickness of the stock SL2, just love how smooth it is compared to most real Marshalls. Maybe I should stay away from the SL2X?

The GnR has been officially renamed the SL2X: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=52166

This thread is solely for writing marketing text to describe it. Click on the other threads to talk tone bro!

If you like the super smoothness of the SL2...and a bit looser bottom end..you wouldn't want the SLX2. It has a bit more upper mid-range growl...and tighter bottom end.

To me, the SL2 is wayy too smooth. I want some growl...and such... So...I don't miss the SL2 in the least.
