Good read, Peter - thanks for that. In the case of my cabinet et al, I'll either go with the RL G12K's as mentioned, or X pattern them along with V30's. We'll see - at the end of the day, as said time and time again, it's all about personal preference and ear. But I really appreciate other people's input and experience.

I think if I were to tally up the time spent perusing this forum and typing away, I'd get a little miffed considering really, at the end of the day, we're all musicians or musically inclined people, which means to me - get of the computer, plug in and PLAY dammit!! :D

Namaste,
V.

not yet. I am starting research on the chapter "isolation cabinet". There are increasing inquiries and I have ideas that I need to try!
We tried the hemp cone in the new Einstein Combo enclosure and it worked well.

Alright. An iso cab is an amazing idea, specially since Diezels are so loud, it becomes a struggle to record AND get a good sound.

btw Peter, how much is the 2x12 Hempcone going for? I think I might order one before I leave Europe in Oct.

I received a new quote from the manufacturer in San Francisco. It should go for 990,00 € (list) now.
If you have to ship it to the states, you might loose 300 Euro to ups.

OMG! A Diezel ISO cab! I'd be the first in line for that one!

Please, Please, Please!
:)

:rawk: Alright Diezelers,

It had to be done, if ya can't beat 'em, join 'em... Rather than the constant mucking around and so forth, a brand spanking FL G12K100 4x12 is en route via the "menninbrown" (aka UPS).

Once again, I feel like a kid at Christmas...

Can't wait - Terry, and everyone who partook in this discussion thread - thanks for all your input. :2thumbsup:

Namaste,
V.

Heres what works the best for my session work;
I own 3 vintage 2x12 cabs, and 4 front loaded 4x12 cabs.My clean and semi-disorted tones all go to the 2x12's. All the heavy sounds go to the 4x12 cabs..( and I can switch this around at any time also)...The 4x12 front l.w/v30's seems to be the tightest heaviest sound, and the 2x12 rear loads w/ any speaker seems to be, well, more vintage and looser sounding..I love it 100%...Amps used-Namm Einstein, custom badcat, bogner fish, soldano x88-r,custom shop badcat preamp...and hopefully more diezels( like maybe a preamp and the Hagen? hint Peter?)

Don't hold your breath on the Hagan or pre-amp unless you have MASSIVE lungs that can hold a few years of air.
