YouTube requesting sign in to play

For anyone experiencing this:

If you copy and past the video URL to a new / blank window it might work.

Works for me anyway, which is kinda-weird 'cause in the past if I faced the login request at the YouTube site, embeds in forums still worked. This is the other way 'round.
 
Additional:

Seems to have a carry-over effect 'cause now the embeds play for me.

So, it could be that simply opening just one in a blank window cures the forum-embedded issue.
 
It you're having the same issue on other websites, then there's probably nothing I can do here...

Looks like it's only affecting Safari browsers though. I read on Reddit that it could also target browsers with video downloaders plugins as it might be an attempt to stop the use of those...

Yeah, I wouldn’t sweat it regarding RT. Another Apple/Safari vs. Google achievement that continue on and off as different upgrades come and go.

My "solution" of opening just 1 embedded YT vid in a new window really seems to have worked. The effect is still going.

Haven't heard any feedback from other members on this yet...
 
Fuck this is irritating. Seems to definitely be safari related. Doesn’t happen all the time though.
 
I use two VPNs for extra protection.

Never had this issue wif YouTube.
