These guys never get the props they deserve. They are one of the best sounding live bands from that era. Kip can still sing like a mofo, the background vocals are awesome, the guys are great on their instruments, etc... Really incredible band that never came across like they were.

Much as I love these guys... a 40-50 year old guy singing 'shes only 17, daddy says shes too young, but she's old enuff for me'?!??!?! Somehow I always thought that would come back an bite them on the ass... Looks fkn HYSTERICAL to me to see it... Scares me when I think what some of us must look like onstage...

It's soooo dependent on the material ur covering, but I always try to keep an eye on that aspect, ya know?? In my head, ur representing the material u play, like it or not... Seventeen is one of the few covers I love an can actually play!!!

My brother saw Alice Cooper a few years ago and said it was the funniest thing he's ever seen - a bunch of 40ish year old men headbanging singing "I'm 18" and "School's out"...

That being said, I'm sure there is a large fraction of the audience at a Winger show that wishes they could be/be with jailbait....

Yeah, our old rythm guitarist went to MI and Lenny was his teacher. My band and Elegantly Wasted played at his birthday party. Plus Lenny was friends with a band called Ekphrasis and my band did several shows with them, he was there a few times. He's a great guitar player/singer and one of the nicest dudes I've met.
