Maybe but he sucks... Saw Ozzy with Holmes and Zakk. Zakk was already starting the decline at that point. Pinch harmonics all over the place and sloppy. Nightmare show. Holmes was killer. Huge tone. Tasty.

You haven't really owned me in anything. 2002 when he was playing with Ozzy... i could give a shit about the "reuniting", the focus is on nobody cares now given the steady decline in both parties. The fact that they played together and sounded good mattered back then, not now. Thought that was pretty clear but hey..

HAD they broken up back THEN and gotten back together THEN.. it would have mattered. (which I now see they did.... I am not a Zakk ball licker so I don't remember timelines only the shows)

I loved Zakk's old tone. I'll never forget seeing the videos for "Crazy Babies" and "Miracle Man" and loved the chunky tone and squeals.

Then he decided to turn on a chorus pedal and crank every knob to 10 while a fan blows air into a microphone near the cabinet. At least that is what it sounds like to me. Oh and squeals with every touch of the fretboard. I really hope he backs off that stuff and gets back to a decent tone again.

Yeah, I think NRFTW had his best playing overall. He had the alternate picking speed, didn't really overdo the squealies (or maybe he did and it was just that he was new then), and played more soulful and slower here and there. The best album he ever did was Pride and Glory. How he went from that band to BLS I'll never understand.

BLS has alot of great songs. have you really listened to very much of it? some of his piano songs are remniscent of elton f'n john lol....the guy's a good musician.
i've also seen him posting videos of himself just playing guitar on his facebook almost daily that are pretty great. so i don't really understand why people say he can't play worth a damn anymore lol....maybe they just don't like him? which is fine lol...but they guy's a good musician.

This! I'm as critical as the next guy of guitar players that I really like and Zakk still brings it. I follow his twitter page and he posts himself playing the classics and plays all of his old stuff from NRFTW and NMT as good as ever...and from everything I've seen of him for years is a good dude and has a great attitude.... I do NOT get the hate, I'm gonna strongly disagree with folks on this.

-i'm not a fan of "ZACK SABBATH" only seen him live once, NRFTW, with GEEZER BUTLER on bass,.. the clean shaven, drunk, spitting ZACK kicked ass!!.. thou GEEZER stolw the show and really brought the goods, GEEZER BUTLER might be the most under rated musician evah!
