Any news about this amp?

I am saving to buy a small amp next to my VH4s - This should result in portability without suffering tone. At the moment for each session/gig I am using my Vh4s and big 2x12" Bogner. Nothing to complain, however a smaller amp may do the same trick with less pain in the back. When will this amp be available, any spec's yet?

The Schmidt will sound much different as the VH4

out of curisoty, will it be more of a vintage class a sound like an old vox or more of a modern class a like a dr. z or matchless?

Hello Peter,
Thanks for your reaction; so this will be actually an extension of the sonic palette   I have already with the Vh4s? Sounds interesting - especially as I am more and more into the bluesy/rock thing instead of metal.
(I now almost exclusively use channel 2 an 3 of the Vh4s) - I will certainly check it out!
regards André R.

It´s hard to describe the Schmidt. I think it
has much low end for an class Amp but don´t
sounds muddy when You crank it up.

The "normal" channel starts with shimmering
clean and ends with a tight, midrangy crunch.
The 30 watts are more than enough. If You want
to get distortin at lower volume, You have to
switch to the "crunch" channel. There is a
master volume. To get more mids and distortion
we have a boost switch on this channel.

The Schmidt is not a high gain amp ! But I also
figured out that it loves distortion pedals.

Best would be to get more opinions from other
users when the Schmidt is released.

I hope, I will have the last prototype for the
Tokyo show at the begining of November.
Just waiting for components.
Maybe we can start production early next
year.

So basically it is a small(er) two channel amp 30 watts.
Will I be able to hook it up on my 2x12" stereo cab? Anyway, I will surely check later on -
as I still rely on my VHs4 - I really only have a "luxury" problem when having two Diezels in the end
Maybe first tell the wife...
regards André -

Schmidt When will it be released?

Apart from my trusty VH4s I need a smal amp/combo or head for those moments when a small set up is enough.
I tried the Suhr Badger combo which certainly will do the trick - however having 2 Diezels instead of one may even be a better idea  ... So please pass on any news! Come on, Schmidt was announced already 2 years ago!

+1, the website hinted at another multi-channel high gain amp. What ground could the new amp possibly cover? Treble Cut feature? 300 watts? Espresso machine? WE NEED INFO  :gethim:

Just have a bit patience with Hagen. I don´t want to
promise anything before it´s released. Maybe we have
a prototyp at the Frankfurt fair, but it needs also a
simple footswitch to design.

:D

I heard some info on the Hagen today.

Its supposed to be based on the VH4 but with the Herbert channel 3 in the 4th channel, or something of that ilk. It should be just slightly changed/updated VH4.

Should be cool! I think im gunna stick with a Herbie though!

is it better to wait this new amp or i can go at full target buying an herbert now?
i prefere the herbert sound compared to the vh4.
